Boy or Girl? Just for Fun!

I am about 31 weeks along and have decided not to find out the gender of the baby before birth. I have always wanted a surprise! I am having some fun today with the gender prediction questionnaires online. Wondered how many of you guessed your baby gender before ultrasound or birth. Were you right or wrong? They say that 71% of mothers "just know" the gender of their babies before confirmation. Just having fun and would like to hear stories!

What can I do next?

M.,

I apparently did not have that mother's intuition. I thought for sure my little girl (now 2 1/2) was a boy. My husband thought for sure we were having a girl. I hate it when he's right. lol The first thing my husband said after the doctor said 'it's a girl' was 'I told you it was a girl'. I was thinking this is not the time to play the 'I told you so' game! :)

Congratulations!!!

Congratulations!! I have three boys. I knew my first pregnancy (now 6yrs old) was a boy right from the start. Don't ask me how but I just knew. My second pregnancy was twins (3 yrs old in July). I wanted a girl soooo bad! The night before my sonogram I had a dream they were both boys! When the sono-tech said the gender of the first baby (boy) I knew she was going to say the second was a boy too. I still want a girl but have decided to be happy with my three sons for several reasons and the most important is sanity!! I Wish you luck and happiness.

With my daughter I had convinced myself that I would have a boy just because all my siblings and all my husbands siblings all have boys. But then right before my ultrasound I just had this feeling that it wasn't a boy. Almost all the gender prediction things said I would have a boy including the chinese gender prediction. Boy were they all wrong. Best of luck with the rest of your pregnancy and delivery.

M....I have three wonderful children...31, 19, 17 (if you can still call them children)! I knew the genders of all of them without any tests...a mother does know. I chose their names as soon as I found out I was pregnant AND decorated their rooms. It is uncanny how a mother can tell these things. I also knew their exact birth dates (although the doctors did not agree--the doctors calculations are way too early) and I told them both that I was there at the conception and I know exactly when they are due. My first two came right on schedule, my last was one day early from my calculations.

I've been told if your tummy sit's high it's a girl....& if it's low it's a boy. I also have heard you can squeeze your chin & IF it has a line down the middle it's a girl & if not it's a boy. Good luck & the best thing you can do is love & nurture your baby, pray that he/she is healthy & I wish you the best God BLess!

Everyone I know with kids kept saying they just knew what they were having when they were pregnant, but I didn't have a clue! The night we went to the hospital, I suddenly felt like it was going to be a boy. The whole night I was convinced. Then when the baby was finally born the next morning, they said "It's a girl!" and I said, "What? Did you just say it was a girl?" I couldn't believe it. After having no idea for so long, and then being so sure it was a boy, it was funny that she ended up being a girl. I loved that we didn't find out even though most people wanted us to. Enjoy it!

Hi M.,
I could never be surprised with any of my 3 pregnancies, I just had to know. One source I used and it was always right is the Chinese Gender Calendar....you just have to plug in a few numbers and out pops the gender!! It's supposed to be 99% correct and used for many, many years by the Chinese. If you really want to be surprised dont use it! Good luck and take care, V.

I didn't find out the sex of either of my children but my gut was correct both times. I had a girl and then a boy and I just knew it for sure each time. Who knows why/how that happened.

Good luck!
