Boy Name...
Just trying to get some suggestions on a boy's name. We have one boy named Elias River. Second boy is due on the 14th of Sept. (yes 11 days!), and still have no name!!!! I was thinking another E name would be nice, (prefer it to be pronouced with e, not eh) Or any unique names you can offer.
Thank You =)

So What Happened?™
Hello everyone! Thanks for all the suggestions...So still no baby and still no name...he must know we don't have a name picked out yet :) And it doesn't have to be an "E" name, mainly just want ideas for unique names. As soon as we figure one out, I will be sure to let you guys know! Still can't believe i'm not holding my little bundle of joy yet...soon enough, I know he'll come when he's ready :)

Go with Enzo! It is a very strong masculine name.
Whatever you do, don't go with Aiden, Eiden etc... These names are so trendy right now!! One year in my son's class there was an Aiden, Jayden, Rayden, Hayden and a Kaiden!

I always loved Ajay if you cant think of another E name you can always make them similar with the same flow, same number of letters, or same syllables in the first and middle name or rhyming middle names try not to get too bogged down just the letter E there are lots of ways to get a similar feel without them starting the same way.

I vote for Emmett! But my cousin warned me against naming our boys (we have four) with the same letter - it's simply less confusing for you, them & alot easier when scheduling things on the calendar, you can just write their first initial. So here are a few of my other favorites: Wyatt, Alden, or Grayson. Congratulations!!!

Hi N.! What do you think of the name Leland? (Pronounced Leeland) "Lee" has a similar sound to "ee" and I think it goes well with Elias. I believe it means meadowland. It is unique but not too obscure. Good luck and let us know what you decide!

hello, congratulation for your expecting child :). for my second child i had searched babynology web site or simply googled boys name so i made an A4 sheet of boys name considered with 3 or 4 that i liked most....but on the B-day i really had the divine inspiration! When i saw my son's wonderful face only 1 name popped in my mind, Jonathan! (the name Jonathan means Gift from G-D) so I wouldnt worry if in the future i had another child i would just wait for the birth. If you go on babynology you'll find the meanings too. I think Ean is cute and is pronounced "e" , means G-D is gracious. here is the link if you need it, good luck!

Ethan is a name that we considered for our third so it is his middle name. Elias is cool also. I am 30 weeks along with a girl and I am being indecisive as well. People keep telling me I need to pick a name but I just want it to be one that I love.

Congrats on your new baby!

How about Elliot? My best friend just named her son Elliott. Other E names that seem to go with Elias include Elijah, Ethan, Evan, Eric, Enrique, Eaton, Eduardo, and Emilio. Also, this website has an impressively long list of boy names starting with e: http://www.babiesonline.com/babynames/boybabynames/boybab...
Hope that helps!

If you want an "E" name, how about Evan or Eathan? I don't know what your last name is but it should flow with the last name, I feel. I know someone named Every. There's also Elvis. If you type into the Google search bar [in brackets] the phrase {boy names starting with 'E'} there are LOTS of entries about that. Good luck!

You got lots of good E name suggestions, but I thought a nice compliment to Elias might be Leo, with the L and long E sounds reversed. We named our first Leo after I decided Liam was too trendy. We've only met one other kid with the same name and he was much older. A cool E name that I don't think I saw is Ephraim, though it isn't a long E sound.

I love names, words and languages so one of my favorite websites is www.behindthename.com. It gives you the meanings, pronunciations, nicknames, diminutives (Liam from William) and alternatives (Elenore and Lenora) for names you are considering. It also gives the histories of names. You can even choose which language to search in (Guillermo is Spanish for William). If you know of a female you would like to name your son after, you can find the male form of a name and vice-versa. You can even find a name by looking up a characteristic. I looked up the name beautiful for a friend: I found an Old Gaelic (before Irish) name meaning beautiful (girl) or handsome (boy). In Old Gaelic it was spelled Caoimhe, which is pronounced Khee-va. The English spelling is Keavy.
Good Luck!

I liked some of the other suggestions you got... Ethan Riley seems really cute, I like the same initials. If you are looking for a UNIQUE name I def wouldnt go with anything that rhymes with Kaiden, Ayden, etc. I have a Kaiden and they are all over the place! lol At the time I thought it was unique, boy was I wrong. also have a son named Payton not quite as common. I think i finally hit the unique jackpot with our little girl born aug 22nd. Her name is Torunn. But back to names for your little one.... :P I like Liam so perhaps you could "create" a name if it isnt already one though its more of an "eh" sound Eliam?? Maybe Eliam Riley. Also like Elijah and Ean as suggested by others.
