Needs a Boy's Name That Starts with E
Hi there
My husband and I need help in gathering boy's names that start with the letter E for our baby that is due in August. Our 1st son's name is Eli.
Name has to be unique and preferably biblical. Thanks a lot in advance for the great suggestions!

Well I will have to say Ezra, since that is my son's name. He gets compliments all the time. His little sister is Eden, so we are on the "E" name kick as well. Congrats on baby #2!!!

I like Elijah, Ezekial, and Ethan. They all have great meanings too! Elijah is Hebrew meaning My God is Lord, Ezekial is Hebrew meaning God will strengthen, and Ethan is Hebrew meaning strong, firm, and impetuous. So cute!!! Congrats!

Hi A.,
Congratulations on your 2nd baby boy! I was going to suggest Elijah, but you already have an ELI name, so my suggestions are Erek, Ephraim, Emmanuel, or Ezekiel.

A.,
Hey! Our son's first name is Eli also!
As for other e names...I'll just list some off the top of my head:
Eaton (or Eton)
Eban (kind of cool...think it is Hebrew)
Edison
Could always go with a variant of Eli...Elias or Ellison?
Ezekiel? My hubby's brother's name...they call him Zeke
Really like Emerson
Ethan?
Those are the only Biblical-type names I could think of...hope that helps!

Someone mentioned "Emmitt" but I'd like to add that its meaning is found in the concept of TRUTH. What a strong and wonderful heritage that is. Names are really important. It would be awesome to grow up knowing that your parents put so much thought into what you were named and helped you to live up to it.
Elijah is really amazing also. It means "the Lord He is God." Can you imagine him standing on the mountain challenging the priests of Baal. Every time someone even said his name it was an admission that they all were aware that God was the Most High. Love that little Hebrew irony there. But of course you know that one since your first is named Eli.

I just had my second son and we named him Evan Alexander.
Evan means God is Gracious.
I'm so picky with names and Evan just really stuck with me.
Sounds like a mature mans name to me also which is something that's very important to me.
Everyone says they like his name when we tell them what it is.
Good luck and let us know what you choose.
