I broke the pitcher on my blender and I'm looking for a replacement. I'd like to hear what you use and if/why you like it. I don't mind investing (to a limit!) if it's going to be durable, efficient and effective. Recommendations?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Well girls, I had every intention of getting the most recommended Waring, but I looked into a Krups and decided on it. I performs beautifully and I trust the brand. Hopefully it will prove qualified to live on my countertop for a long time. Thanks for your help!

I have to tell you that the only blender you will ever need is the Vita Mix. It IS expensive but worth every penney. I use it as a food processor as well as a blender. I had been wanting one for over 6 years and finally got one this year. The Vita Mix is the blender that the juice bars and smoothie places use. LOVE IT!

We have a Waring too. I use mine for smoothies, bread crumbs, pureeing soups, purees, etc.
I cook A LOT and I have made lots of stuff with the blender for the past 6 or so years and there has not been a bit of wear and tear.
Good luck!

My Waring blender is fab and it has a lifetime guarantee. The pitcher broke when we moved and they replaced it without any hassles for free. It crushes ice smoothly and efficiently! We use ours several times a day as my husband drinks protein shakes and we couldn't be more pleased. It was a little pricey, but well worth the money. We bought ours at Williams-Sonoma about 7 years ago.

Hate to be negative, but don't buy a Kitchen Aid. I got one a few years ago, and the teeth that are in the base that turn the blades inside the jar were plastic! After a few months of regular use, they all broke off one by one. It was out of warranty and we had no option but to buy a new one.

I second Alexis. The Waring with the cloverleaf pitcher is great. I was told there is only a five-year warranty, but I lost my paperwork and they looked up my unit by model number and fixed it free when my husband burned out the motor.

I have a Black and Decker and it came with a glass pitcher as well as a stainless pitcher. It works very well. I do not know what it cost because it hubby bought it for me to replace an old blender I had. When hubby buys me something, he does not spare expense to get quality.

I rarely use the blender except for a couple of specialty dressing recipes. However, my 13 yr old daughter LOVES smoothies and she makes them all the time. This blender is easy cleanup. She does it all herself. We've never had any issues with it.

We LOVE our kitchen aid blender. I didn't get it until we had been married for about 10 years, but we had had many more blenders before that! It works great, but is a little pricy..about $100! However, we spent more than that on blenders before we bought the "good one". Just invest and it will pay off! You will have it for many many more years to come!
