Hi Mamas!
My son has asked to have a "bike riding" party to celebrate his upcoming 4th birthday. We love the idea, but are having a hard time coming up w/ a location that will allow plenty of room for a bunch of kids to ride. I'd rather not do a trail since I don't know the level of riders that will be attending. We are looking to keep it in the Chester County/KOP area. Thanks for any help you can offer!

What can I do next?

this is a way cool idea. I don't live near you but thought you might consider having it at the local gradeschool playground. most of the schools have a large walkway around the school and playground. you could have all the kids bring bikes and do a picnic style thing. it would be fun and all the mess would be outside. I love these kinds of parties

Great party idea! Maybe you could reserve the basketball courts or tennis courts at a local city park or neighborhood park. Nice thing about these locations is they are usually fenced and with plenty of space. Most likely there would be tables nearby too. Have fun!

do you have a park that has a paved walking trail? We have one at our municiple park, but I'm in NJ. I know of another park like that in Bucks... but I'm sure that is too far as well. anyway, you could mark off an area for riding... my daughtrer's school just did this at a trike-a-thon they had last week. the kids rode in circles on a section of the path.

also, I just saw this on family fun...

Valley Forge is great for bike riding. French Creek State Park is nice as well. Maybe you could incorporate some kind of nature scavenger hunt too!

Try the park nearby your house! if you have one that is... Also, a cute food suggestion for little boys is "Mud and Worms", where you have little plastic cups filled with chocolate ice cream, crushed oreos, and gummi worms. The boys will love it, and any girls will too!
