Hi,
My bible study group just started a study with her yesterday and I was impressed so far. It's from her series "A Womens Heart" that studies the Tabernacle. This is a revamp from a series she did in the 90's with a whole new series. If you would like to study with us, we meet every Tursday morning at 9 am at our church in Yorktown. If you are interested, write me back and I will give you more info. It is a two hour class and there are babysitters provided by the church. It is a Presbyterian Church. Hope to hear from you.

I'm with you. Beth Moore is fantastic. I would like to do another study one day. The one I did was Breaking Free. It was a study in Isaiah. It was so good I did that one twice at two different churches. :D Right now I am doing Bible Study Fellowship and it's real involved so I don't have time for another Bible study but one day soon!!!!

Diane- I totally love Beth Moore also!! I've done several of her studies, and been to 4 live conferences and 1 simulcast!! (I think it'll take a 12 step program to break this habit!!lol) My church is startng her study "Living Beyond Yourself" which covers the fruit of the Spirit. I've done that one already, and highly reccommend it. Also Breakng Free, Jesus the One and Only, and the Tabernacle one's are all great! I hope you find a group to do a study with, it's more fun if you can, especially if they have the dvd's that come with most study's:)
God Bless,
C.

D.,
I echo everyone's sentiment. I've been to three Living Proof Live events including last weekend in San Antonio, as well as two simulcasts. She is a truly gifted speaker and has the ability to lay the Word open before you in a very understandable way. I've also done several of her Bible studies, including Breaking Free, Daniel, Jesus the One and Only, and the one on the Fruit of the Spirit. I've also lead Breaking Free several times and must admit I believe everyone should start with that one. It allows you to recognize and deal with issues you might have in your life that are keeping you from a better relationship with God and others. It truly changed my life. Whatever you do, however, know that you will be going deep into God's word which is what I love best about them! Have fun!

Beth Moore is absolutely fabulous. She speaks to the heart of women. She is on James Robisons show on Wednesdays I believe. I have not done one of her study guides but I know ladies who have. One of the older women in my church said that one about deliverance and forgiveness changed her life.

I can tell you that they are very in depth and involve alot of study and writing, but if you are willing to put the time in then I hear they are very well worth it.

I've completed 6 Beth Moore studies - all worth the time and effort. Of the six (Daniel, Believing God, A Heart Like His, A Woman's Heart: God's Dwelling Place, Living Beyond Yourself and Breaking Free) I had my eyes opened with Breaking Free. Lots of baggage in may past was dealth with and I found a freedom I continue to experience today. Lakota Christian Church (new name will be Center Point Christain Church) in West Chester (www.lakotachristian.org) has a wonderful women's bible study held on Wed AM's and/or Thus PM's. We are now begining a study by James MacDonald, "Downpour: He Will Come To Us Like Rain". In mid February we'll be studying Beth Moore's "Stepping Up: A Journey Through the Psalms of Ascent". Anyone interested can register at the website - fees are $17 for the present study and childcare is provided for $2 per family per week. Step outside your comfort zone and join us!!

At first I didn't want anything to do with her because the video piece our church was using to promote a seminar looked more like the "Worship Beth Moore Hour." But then I gave it a chance with "Jesus the One and Only" and was very glad I didn't stick with my first judgment. It was the publisher that created the video, not her. I've signed out our church's copy of "Breaking Free" to do with a friend next, since I've heard at least a dozen times that this is a great study for evaluating old thinking patterns and replacing them with godly ones. From what I understand, you can even do online learning courses through her site. Do one and see!

I've only done one of her study guides. It's called "Living FRee"- Learning to Pray God's Word. It changed the way I feel about and interact with God. I love how she gets to the heart of the matter and the heart of God.

I LOVE Beth Moore studies! I have done Jesus the One and Only, A Heart Like His (David), The One on Daniel, and the one called God's Dwelling Place. That one was my favorite...it is about the OT Tabernacle and The Israelites and what we can learn from them.

My church hasn't done any studies as a group (yet) so I just bought the "member's" book at Lifeway.com or any other site and do them on my own. It helps to also get the CDs or DVD's so that you get all the instruction, but you CAN do them without since they can cost a bit (except Daniel...that one was practically impossible until I got ahold of the CDs.) Sometimes church libraries keep them too.

I love Beth Moore and her studies. She does an awesome job expressing God and His love for us. I think the one study that spoke to me the most was Believing God it was just awesome. It really taught me a lot about myself and my walk with God. I really think the first one you do of hers is the one you like the best. It has a video with the bible study that you really need to see it just enhances it. Best of luck in all your Beth Moore choices there are a ton.

I've done Daniel, Beloved Disciple (about John) and one other I can't quite remember now. Daniel was my favorite. I also have done one of her simulcasts. It's really a great experience to do it with other women so I'd recommend trying to find a church. Ours offers babysitting on Wednesday mornings. Not sure where you live but it's Christ's Church at Mason (ccmason.org). They don't have a new Beth Moore study though until the winter one that starts in January. Enjoy!

I LOVE Beth Moore! I went to a simulcast of hers that went with her book "Get Out of That Pit", it was awesome. I have the Daniel study. But I'm looking forward to doing her "Believing God" study, my best friend said it was awesome and changed her life (and I can see the change too!:-).Beth Moore is so real and straightforward, yet loving and she knows the Word.

I love Beth Moore as well. I have done at least 6 of her studies she has out. I have done them all myself without the videos/small group setting that usually accompany them. They have been such a blessing and encouragement to me. I just read the backs of the studes in the store and picked what I felt either led by God or a topic that dealt with what I was going through at the time. They require about 30 - 40 minutes of study time but it is worth it. I just finshed the fruit of the spirit one and it was awesome. Good luck I know you will be encouraged by her insights and challenges for you to grow in your walk with Christ.

The Beth Moore study that is currently on my bookshelf is "Jesus The One And Only". I have never been fortunate enough to go to one of her seminars, only see her on the videos. I love her there! Her works, with the work I have done with them, have been life-changing for me. Have you been to a Women of Faith conference? The ladies there do good books but they are not the studies as are BMoore. Best wishes for finding the perfect study for you.

Providence Church in Avon (Detroit Rd) did the Daniel Bible Study last year. It was incredible! A friend of mine went through the David Bible Study a few years back and said it was life changing. I don't know if this helps, but you may want to check in with Providence to see if they will be doing another Beth Moore Bible Study this year.... Beth Moore is quite inspiring, convicting and funny - all at the same time!

My church does a Beth Moore bible study every summer, it's my favorite part of summer. She REALLY knows how to speak to women. My first Beth Moore study, Living Beyond Yourself (the fruits of the spirit), really changed my life. I also did The Patriarchs, which didn't fill me spiritually, but still a GREAT history lesson about the Bible, and I just finished To Live is Christ, which was about the life of Paul, another great history lesson from the Bible. She also does online Bible studies, you'll have to find her site. I believe you have to pay for it though, but could be worth every penny. I haven't done one of those yet.
