I am starting a job in two weeks and Im trying to get prepared. Its in a pharmacy and they wear scrubs everyday. Where is the best place to buy them? I dont want to start out too expensive, but I need a few sets to get me going. Any type or brand that I need to stay away from? I have found alot online, but dont want to go that route until I have tried some on. Any info or advice you can give is greatly appreciated.

What can I do next?

Citi Trends has them super cheap. Also a place near Town East mall in Mesquite has nice ones, that arent too much. I also have several I dont need anymore. I thing about 5 outfits. I would let them go for $20. Size mediums.

The best buy I have heard of for scrubs is Garden Ridge. You have to be prepared to look hard but the prices can't be beat. They also have matching crocs.

I heart Garden Ridge scrubs!! Every once in a while, mainly on a Saturday, they will have them on sale 4 dollar tops and 4 dollar bottoms! But even before they sale it's I think 5.99 top and 7.99 bottom. It rules! They have all sorts of designs and shapes I'm sure you will find something.

oh and they last you a good long time! =)

This is just something I do with my scrubs. I hate scrub pants. They never seem to fit me right and are just binding. So what I've done all along is buy knit pants with elastic waist that I can pair with blouses for everyday wear or with scrub tops for work. I bought different colored pants in basic colors. Then you can go "nuts" with the scrub tops. Most of the patterned tops then can be worn with different bottoms for a different look.

I've ordered most of mine online from Jasco and they run true to size except Cherokee brand. They seem to run a little small.

Hope this helps and good luck on your new job.

try a resale shop or goodwill or salvation army store. never know what you might find... and cheaper than brand new at a regular store.

I don't know how you feel about resale items but the Goodwill has lots of clothing (including a scrubs section) - they are in great shape and very cheap. The Goodwill in Burleson is huge and has lots of scrubs. Good Luck!!

I just ordered my daughter some scrubs from uniformcity.com. They are cute and good quality and they have tops starting at $5.99!

I can't order her pants because she is so darn tall, but if you sew there are some really easy patterns out there. I will be starting a new pair for her tonight!

Good luck!

I haven't tried, but I have a friend who buys hers at the Goodwill store. They're used, but cheap and will get you started. Some Walmart stores carry them, but they aren't very good quality and are quite plain. My favorite brands are Landau and Cherokee. Dickies has "younger" styles. Unless you like ironing, stay away from 100% cotton scrubs. Online look at www.smartscrubs.com, www.uniformadvantage.com, and www.lydiasuniforms.com. I live in Mesquite and we have a SmartScrubs store and one other (I can't remember the name). If you have one near you go try on the different brands so you can get an idea of what's comfy for you.
