We take Karate at the Colony Rec Center. We love it. It is laid back & Kata based. The best part is it is $36 for 8 weeks! Our family of 4 all take it.

I know it is a little far but there is a great karate class at Sokol Dallas. The teachers are all the top 10 in their field. They are great with the kids. Here is the site if you are interested.

You are close to the Texas Karate Institute which is on Nantucket at Campbell (by the Festive Kitchen). Both of my kids took classes for a solid year and enjoyed it. It is a family run business and they are well known in the karate "world". The instructors were very good and I liked the way they interacted with the kids (very professional and very respectful). My daughter wants to go back for more lessons - so we may start again in the summer. PS - You can walk in and observe classes anytime. Good luck!
