Hi moms,
Does anyone out there use a laptop lunch box (bento box)? I'm debating buying them for my 2 preschoolers but the price is holding me back. Any thoughts? Love them? Hate them?
Thanks! The site I found is http://www.laptoplunches.com/ (if there is a cheaper place, let me know!)

What can I do next?

I love them, but to be honest, I wouldn't spend that amount of money on a preschooler who is likely to lose or misplace these. I'm going to hold off and wait a few years myself. You can find some lower cost options at the Container Store, Target or even Super H.

I looked at those exact same bento boxes and thought about it, but decided to go with the much smaller version at the Disney store. They were much cheaper and I could get a couple of them for the price of just one of the bento boxes. I am sure that the ones you are looking at are great though, I love the idea because my daughter is not picky but eats better when she has an array of options.

The Disney store ones only have two compartments but they are 3 for $12

You can buy them on Amazon for under $40.00. I love the idea my two start preschool this year and I would have bought them, but I need a hot container as well. So I purchased a lunch boxes at PBK's, then at Target I got storage containers w/ice pack built in, hot/cold storage thermo's and a drink thermo w/straw. It cost way more to do it this way so I would suggest buying the Bento and save some money. If you need a hot/cold thermo you can buy it later.

I agree with Erica. The Lap Top Lunchbox are awesome, but WAY over priced. I buy bento boxes in many other place, you just have to get a bit creative. The Disney store has them pretty much all the time, they are smaller than the Lap Top Lunchbox, but they hold more than enough for younger children. I have also had good luck at Target and WalMart finding bento boxes. I bought one at WalMart that is actually a sandwich box, they had a green one with a dinosaur and a pink one with a heart. I then buy the silicon muffin cups and use those to help divide the box. I have pictures of my daughters coolest bento lunches from last year, if you'd like to see them send me your email through a private message and I can send some examples to you.
