I am not familiar with the salons around the area. My son is 15 months old and has yet received a haircut. This is because he is currently back in NY; I left him out there until I got settled here and I am going to get him in 3 weeks. He has such nice, beautiful hair and I hesitant about cutting it, but of course, it has to be done. I hate the fact that people think he is my daughter at times; this has only happened 2x. My fiance wants to give him his cut, but I'd rather have it professionally done since this is his first. Does anyone know any good kiddie salons where I can take my son within the San Diego area. I can do it back in NY, but I know my fiance would want to be there also for his cut, so I'll just get it done here.
I don't know where you live but I took my 8 month old last week to get his haircut at "Little Locks" in La Jolla. Very cute place! $15 kids cut and you get a cute keepsake. It's a great place for a first cut. Their website is www.littlelocks.com

I live in La Mesa and there is a nice kids salon in the Grossmont Center. I take Devyn there and they are great with kids and believe me Devyn is not the easiest child to get his hair cut.

Hey D., it's me H.....anyway the place I took Damian was GREAT!!!! It's called "Pigtails & CrewCuts" They have little cars, planes, trucks, for them to sit in while they get thrie hair cut. They give them a little sucker, and they are really fast & good!!! They even take a picture and save a little of the hair for you!!! I think it was $21 for EVERYTHING, a lil pricey but it was w2ell worth it for us, since it was his first time!! I'm def! gonna go back! The only one I know of is ummm in the new Otay Ranch shopping center, near Eastlake....we had my mom take us b/c of the whole no car thing!! LoL But ummm yea let me know if you have any questions :0)

I can really relate with you. My youngest son he was about 2yrs old and he had beautiful curly hair and people used to always mistake him for a girl.
At this Salon they take extra care with the kids, they even have little lap boxes with toys so it takes the kids minds off of getting their hair cut.

There is a place in Grossmont Center called "Kid's Hair Salon" they specialize in cuts for children. They also have a location in El Cajons Parkway Plaza Mall. I belive they are listed in the yellowpages. They are also very reasonably priced. Good Luck!
