Anyone know how much it is to start up? I was thinking about it but don't want to be contacted by a sales rep just yet. I am the type of person that needs time to process things for a bit before I move forward and I don't want to fill out the form and have them call me just for this answer and get their hopes up if I decide not to do it....
Thanks for your help.. If it matters, I am in Denver Metro, CO..

What can I do next?

Just wondering why you're thinking about Avon? do you REALLY LOVE the products? if not, you should look into other avenues. It's a fact seen over and over again, that if you don't REALLY LOVE the products and company you won't do so well. Also, there are other companies out there that you earn a bigger commission with ($$ is normally one of the biggest reasons women start these kinds of businesses)

I would HIGHLY recommend Mary Kay Cosmetics. You can find them on the Direct Sellers list. they are are multi-BILLION dollar company that has consultants in 35 countries. It's an awesome sisterhood with tons of training, support and the ability to earn what you are worth.

If you decide to get more info you can go to my website: www.marykay.com/rschreiner
I am a consultant in metro denver and would love to give you more information. Good luck, whatever your decision!

Hi - I live near you and started up last month. I'd be happy to recommend you (just shoot me a message) if you decide to go for it.

It's $10 to start and your unit leader will usually give you some brochures to start. There is a small fee for those later but you do NOT have to order them for every campaign (every 2 weeks). You can manage your outgo pretty easily.

I am selling online only. It's $7.50/campaign ($15.00 per month) for the website but is waived for the first few months and is waived in the futue if you get an order through your website.

My website is www.youravon.com/dmcneill

Go ahead and look around. You can sign up to be contacted there as well. I really like it. I made about $100 last month without really trying. It's not a lot but I am a LOUSY sales person so I thought that was pretty good.

All I did was send out an email to friends that I figured wouldn't be annoyed and let my Mom know! I also occasionally put a post on Facebook (2/month - no more than that). My big problem is that I always WANT stuff and need more self-control. : )

You earn 20-40% of the cost of what you sell.

You are welcome to shoot me a message if you have any more questions.

I got into selling AVON back in the mid 90s. I don't remember it costing me anything to start up, because you basically pass out booklets and go from there with your orders. I would go to Avon's website and I think it's www.avon.com and see what it says about selling it. If it doesn't have any details, see if there is a contact link and email them your questions. Hopefully you'll be able to do that instead of having to talk with a rep right away. Good luck. It was fun while I did it. I didn't make any money off of selling it. I usually ordered for myself and my earnings went there. lol

Ok when I started I only paid $10.00 but that doesnt give you much to start with. I didnt like it needless to say and quit then I found an incredible unit here with Mary Kay it was 100 but I got 323 worth of product it is amzing you keep 50 percent of what you sell. Look it up online and for the month of November its only $75 dollars. I would be happy to talk to you about this I live in Bayfield CO. If you did sign up I would love to chat with you and help you get your business up and running Mary Kay is a sisterhood and my director has done things for me that even my own family hasnt it is amazing what Mary Kay has done for me K. call me at ###-###-####. It's $10 to start but it doesn't give you any products, they gave me the next two campaign books to pass out but after that, it's up to you to purchase the books and you have to have an order each campaign or else there's a fee (I think the campaigns are every two weeks). I'm not a sales person so it was not for me. I don't like to annoy my friends to buy stuff I don't want to buy either.
