Anyone Else Find One of Their Baby Girl's Nipples Harder than the Other One?

I just found this, and find that it's pretty common on the internet, but can't get in to see my pediatrician for another week... it seems like a little hardness under one of the nipples. I could go bonkers by then. Anyone out there have this happen and what was it??? Thanks to anyone who can help.

What can I do next?

Hi B.,
It is excessive hormones. Her nipples will go back down in a few weeks. My husband was scared when he saw that with our first daughter, with the second we already knew what it was.

Yes. I have a 5 month old daughter. I felt like a tiny bump/knot thing on one side. Like a little hard spot. Im not sure if its the same as your daughter's, but my dr said it was normal, nothing wrong.

My DD had this too for several months. It went away and I didn't even realize it until one day I was like OH it feels "normal". lol
Hope this helps and don't worry it's okay to go crazy about little things...

My daughter has the same thing (she's 5 now). She's always had little boobies ever since she was maybe 2 months old. The dr. did bloodtests to make sure there was nothing wrong, but she's fine. Just seems to have a little more estrogen than normal in her system, but other than that, she's fine. She just has little bumps (really no more than mosquito bites)- you can't see anything when she's wearing a shirt.

I too have a 4 month old, and at first there was a slight lump in her right breast, but it went away. As for her nipples, hers are BOTH innies!!:). Her doctor said it was perfectly fine and normal. Dont worry. And I am so sorry about your mother.

I just took my duaghter to the pedia yesterday for this. He said it was a little cyst, which was, as he explained, just an accumulation of skin cells and fluid. There are so many glands around that area so it's very common. He said that as long as it doesn't cause a fever, look infected, or bother her in any way, we should just leave it alone and it will drain and clear up. Good luck!
