Hi M.,

I wanted calligraphy for my wedding invites, placecards, etc., but thought it was crazy expensive so I did some research online and there is a calligrapher who sells her calligraphy fonts and you can download them onto your computer and print everything yourself. People thought the calligraphy on my invite envelopes was done by hand :) I can't remember how much it was, maybe around $60, but totally worth it!!!

Good luck!

M.- I do custom invitations and announcements out of my home and do lots of items like place cards, table numbers, etc. I have tons of different fonts in lots of different styles. If you sent me what you wanted it to look like I could email you a sample of what I could do with it. Let me know!

I don't know how to do actual calligraphy but for my wedding invitations and place cards we purchased these calligraphy markers from the craft store with a beveled tip to make calligraphy writing easily. As long as you read the instructions and practice, its very easy. Also, make sure you buy a few extra because they do fray easily which leaves little side squiggles.

ANOTHER option would be to try FONTS.COM where you can purchase new fonts, they have hundreds, to download to your computer. I think its only a few dollars.

Have you found anyone yet M.?
I have really nice handwriting (if I say so myself) :), and many people from work (I'm an art teacher at Downers North) ask me to do calligraphy for their certificates, and other random things. It's not necessarily "traditional" calligraphy, but it will look beautiful.
Let me know if you're interested in me doing them for you.
