Anyone Been to Kiddieland?

Has anyone been to Kiddieland? Is Kiddieland more of a place for older kids rather than toddlers?

What can I do next?

Hi there,
I think Kiddieland is great for the price. We have taken our daughter there for 2 summers so far and she loves it.
She is 3 1/2 years old. There are rides that your child can go on with and without you, however my daugthers patience at that age was not the greatest. We did have a much better experience last year when she was almost 3.
Good luck and if you do decide to go, I'd make it an early day trip. Less parking issues and shorter lines :)

Well, I would say at least 2-3yrs old & up. (I haven't been there myself in at least 18-20yrs or so, it's chaged quite a bit since i was little) I'm sure some of the rides have a height requirement. I'm sure there will be many rides that your toddler won't be able to go on. although it is kida pricey for admission, luckily your daughter would be free at this point. here's the website for more info...

It is a place for toddlers also. They have smaller rides that the kids can go on by themselves. The others rides the kids can usually still go on but there needs to be someone else with them. You can go to there website and it will expain the height restrictions ( a few rides are also based on age). You can go to Dominick's and get a discount coupon or sometimes from the website.

I took my twins when they were three years old and when they were four. I plan on taking them this summer too. There are enough little kids rides to keep little ones entertained for a long time. They also have characters such as Diego and Dora that are there on certain days. Check the height restrictions on their website. If she is tall enough for a hand full of rides, I would give it a try because your child would be free, and for you it's around $17. with the coupon that you can get a Jewel. My kids have gone on the same rides over and over again. So it turns out to be a lot cheaper than paying for carnival rides. I would bring a long another mom and little friend/cousin for company. Jewel has 2 types of coupons: $5. off on Wacky Wednesdays and $3. off any other day. Parking is free! There aren't usually kids over 10 or so at Kiddieland, I think they tend to think of it as babyish by that age and they head to Great America instead. (A lot more money!)

Have fun if you decide to go!

If you're interested in going, go this year - rumor has it that this will be their last season before they sell the property for condo development.

My then-2.5 year old enjoyed a lot of the rides last summer (they have several carousels and other rides for very little kids) so I don't think your child is too young, but I think the perfect age for most of the rides at Kiddieland is 4-6. It's a very fun and special place! Take another little along if you can - it's more fun to ride with a friend.
