Hi Moms,

I always read all of these posts but never write my own, so here goes. We just bought a house which needs some serious work. First priority is getting an air-conditioning system installed. Does anyone have recommendations/past experience for a good, reliable and hopefully not too expensive company that can do this? North Center neighborhood in Chicago...THANKS!!!

What can I do next?

S.,
Congrats on the new house! In my area, there have been many additions put on in the last year, almost everyone of them have used Bullseye heating and air conditioning. They are based out of Chicago and family own. Phil is the owner, he is a great and honest guy.....Good luck.

Here is the information.

Do you need the ductwork and everything? My husband works with a company who did our home and does a good job, but I'm not sure if they speak English--Do either of you speak Spanish? If so, I can get you his info or have him call you.

We used Four Seasons to replace our air conditioning system and had a good experience. Their prices were competitive and we also were able to haggle a bit (maybe $500 off), so keep that in mind on any work you are needing to have done.

Also, I would strongly suggest you do two things - check out anyone you hire with the Better Business Bureau website and secondly, get a subscription to Angie's List, which is amazingly helpful to find just about any kind of home fix-it type company you may ever need.
