Advice on Wagons

We'd like to get our daughter a wagon for her 2nd birthday, but I'm having a hard time deciding between the radio flyer plastic wagons (pathfinder, voyager, etc) and the step 2 plastic wagons. In reading the reviews, it seems they both have issues with steering. Anyone out there have experience with either one, or have a wagon they absolutely love? Thanks!

What can I do next?

We received a Radio Flyer plastic wagon for Christmas this past year and LOVE it! Ours has a bucket attached to the back that's great for putting a bag or whatever into. I've hauled my 45lbs 5 year old along with my 22lbs 1 year old and sure it's heavy, but no steering issues. I would definitely get the clip-on umbrella! But yes, we LOVE our wagon (we use it every day between walks, the zoo, or wherever we go).

I was always given the advise to stick with "metal" wagons. I was told the plastic ones have a weight limit of 70lbs which is like (2) toddlers or preschoolers combined if you think about it. I heard the plastic ones break etc.

Well even given that advise I still went and bought my daughter the Step2 plastic wagon and it's held up for us but we rarely use it and we take very very good care of it go up and down curbs with care etc. Now I have a 7yr.old who is 60lbs and a 10mo.old who is 20lbs and were over the limit but I haven't noticed a difference. It is awesome for the state fair or the zoo. I don't put my 7yr.old in there often but she does get tired out sometimes.

We have a plastic radio flyer and I have been very happy with it and my kids love it. We don't use it much outside of the beach and the neighborhood because it is bulkier than bringing the stroller.
