Anyone in Baltimore know of activities (parent groups, swimming, yoga classes) offered in Baltimore? Just trying to figure out if i need to start something or where I can turn for already existing support and fun.

I usually go on Wednesdays with (or without if we're running late) a small group from Holy Cross parish over to the Enoch Pratt library on Light St (if you're somewhere toward the south of Baltimore) close to West St (where Holy Cross is) for a preschool library time at 11 am which is great- they do a mother goose hour (half hour?) before that at around 10 am for smaller ones- and i recently grabbed a copy there of Baltimore Child which lists a lot of storytime/ sing-a-long groups in batlimore- and the YMCA used to have a mommy/baby or daddy/baby swim class- hope that helps

You have a lot of stuff to do.. Gymboree classes, meadowbrook offers swimming classes, the library offers mommy and me reading time, the mall offers morning activites for moms and babies, YMCA, MY Gym. The best thing to do is get The Baltimore Child and they list a lot of activities.

Hi K.,
I don't know of any particular activities or parents group in Baltimore, but may I suggest checking with your local library or YMCA. I live in Howard county and most of our library have activities for parents and infants and toddlers. You might also want to checkout craigslist. Good look with your search.

lots of libraries have reading times. i know the one at the canton library is really very good and the librarian is great. mommy & me yoga -- i've seen it offered at almost every yoga studio in town, so pick one near you. there's also the GBMC list serv of moms, they have a yahoogroup website where you can sign up and meet other moms in the baltimore area. good luck!
