7Th Annivesary - What to Get Him!

My husband and I will "celebrate" our 7th anniversary on Thursday. I say "celebrate" because he works 2 hours away, our boys have football that evening, hubby is the coach, and our daughter has dance class. So I won't even see him until close to 730 at night. We MIGHT take the kids out to dinner, but we'll see. Anyways, I have been telling him for years now that I REALLY want an anniverary band for my wedding set - he has mentioned some things that I will get it for our anniversary OR Christmas this year. I want to get him an iPad2 for Christmas, but I need to get him something good for our annivesary on Thursday too. What would you get your hubby??

We rarely do gifts for each other. Last year my hubby got my diamond stubs and a diamond solitare necklace, but we had just come out of a REALLY rough patch. I got him a sentimental book - he didnt like it so much. LOL. So I need something else. I'm kind of stuck minus the ipad2, but I am waiting on a refund to come in before I can puchase it outright and I do not want to finance it.

What can I do next?

You either buy a big ticket item, or make him something very thoughtful.

I wrote my Husband a poem. And framed it.
He loved it.
Didn't cost me anything.
We have been married 14 years.

For our tenth, I did 10 gifts - nothing too big. He really liked it. And it was fun...a book, a movie, clothing, etc.

7th is supposed to be "wool"... so in that theme:

- Fleece Car Seat Covers
- Persian Rug
- Uggs
- Ski/Snowboard socks
- Suit
- Trench
- Cashmere or Merino scarf
- Stereo Speakers (speakers are insulated with wool) for the house or car
- Body Armor (kevlar is blended with wool, because the wool makes it 20% more effective)

What all men want - lingerie! Any possibility you can take him away somewhere, even if just to a hotel down the street, this weekend? A night out, alone would be a great gift. You could give him the lingerie with a sexy note on Thursday night and take him out Saturday night - 2 days to think about you in that lingerie should get the home fires burning! :) Try to find some coupons to Victorias Secret or even Kohls (you don't need top quaity when you won't be wearing it long!). Then try restaurant.com with a coupon code (Google for them). You can usually get a $25 gift certificate for $2. Then Hotels.com or similar for the hotel room. The whole evening shouldn't set you back much IF you have someone who will watch your kids for free.
