22 Month Old Not Sleeping Through the Night

I already posted a request about putting my little rugrat going to sleep. I forgot to add that he doesn't sleep through the night. Please help.

What can I do next?

Here are some books that I would recommend. They should really help you with your sleeping issues!

The No Cry Sleep SOlution by Elizabeth Pantly

The Sleep Book by Dr. Sears

Sweet Dreams: a Pediatrician's Guide to Your Child's Good Night Sleep

My two year old gets up periodically during the night, usually once. She'll stand at her game, cry for just a moment, and then go back to bed. No big deal.

I had similar problems with my boy. I was totally against the Ferber method but I exhausted all other methods and Ferber was the ONLY one that worked. I too had to deal with this problem when I was pregnant with my second. I couldn't stand the thought of having two kids up all night. If you do decide to try the Ferber method. Start it with naps during the day. It will make the nights a little easier. It's the hardest thing I ever had to do but it was either that or stay up all night. I cried when he cried but he's 2 now and he takes one nap for 2-3 hours and he goes to bed at 7pm and wakes up at 7am - sleeping through the night! It was tough but worth it. By the way, my son is a lot easier to deal w/ now that he and mommy get good rest!
Good Luck!!!

A book that helped me deal with sleeping problems for babies: Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child. by Dr. Marc Weisbluth. Not only does baby sleep better, she's also happier and cries less during the day.
