Some Orajel or Anbesol can numb it for her for awhile.
See if that helps her enough so she can at least eat/drink.

Poor little thing! Yes, Urgent Care for sure. They will likely tell you to use infant Tylenol and will instruct you on proper dosing. It is important not to give too much Tylenol, as it can be bad for her liver in high doses.
I lied Hyland's teething tablets, those worked better for my kiddos than Orajel, so maybe give those a try for a little pain relief. You can make a popsicle out of breastmilk or formula, that might help.

Before I was a mom, I had no clue how many crazy childhood diseases were out there! I remember freaking out a few times at some of the weird rashes and other things with my first. The vast majority are just a viral infection that go away within a few days on their own, but it is so hard to watch your little one suffer.

Hope she feels better soon!

If you pedi can't see her and you know she is miserable and unable to eat properly... I would go to an Urgent Care location to have her checked. At least they can diagnose and give you ideas on how to treat her and feeding her. She needs rest and food.

I don't think it is a bad idea anyway to have a relationship with the Urgent Care closest to you just for things like this.

Good Luck.

Most pediatrician a keep appointments at the end of the day as "sick child" appointments. Call back & ask for O..
Otherwise, do you have an after hours walk in pediatric clinic?
Children's hospital ER?
Urgent care?
Walgreens walk in clinic, etc?

I am surprised they will not see her with only being 9 months old and her not eating. Does she have a fever? I would call back and tell them that she is not eating or sleeping and hasn't been for the last few days/nights. Tell them about her blister. Could be a number of virus. Good luck!

Can you go to Urgent Care? Why wait until Monday if your daughter is miserable.

My daughter had "herpangina" when she was 15 months old. It started like this- blisters/sores on her mouth and gums and they are very painful. She couldn't eat and was so upset. I can't recall if there was a specific prescription for it, I think it had to just run it's course. But having it identified was a relief of it's own. From there it was just pushing fluids for a couple days until the sores weren't painful. We also did popsicles, but that's probably not appropriate for a 9th month old, and the fact they drink out of a bottle still makes it worse. maybe introduce a sippy cup right now if you haven't yet, got to get those fluids in.

And there is always infant Tylenol to take the edge off.

Do you have a Prompt Care or Urgent Care in your area? You might consider taking her there. Not because a blister is that scary. But because if she won't take a bottle, she could get severely dehydrated between now and Monday.

Her doctor might not be able to squeeze her in today, but see if you can go to Prompt Care so you'll know what it is and, more importantly, his to help her steel better so she will take a bottle.

I agree to go to an urgent care. Are their sores anywhere else? Her hands or feet? Could be coxsackie. Also look in her mouth for sores.
