10 Year Old Birthday Party
Hi MOM's! My daughter is turning 10 this summer. She has MILD Cerebral Palsy. I want to give her a great bday party. Any suggestions would be great!

So What Happened?™
Mackenzie has decided on a High School Musical Build a Bear party with classmates and her Brownie Troop. Thanks for all your advice! Even though she has Mild CP, we try and celebrate her different abilities but are always cautious of how she will feel around her peers in being a little different.
Thanks to all of you!!

Hi J.,
You should come and check out Studio 8 Ten! We are a non-profit art studio and gift shop downtown Las Vegas, and during the week we are an employment program for adults with disabilities, and on the weekends we rent out the studio for all sorts of things, including kids b-day parties! We have done painting parties where the kids pick a theme and we create amazing "props" for the kids to paint and decorate, we can also do spa, parties, scrapbooking partits, etc...we are set up for all sorts of arts and crafts and have been told it is the best birthday party kids and parents have ever been to! We are at 810 South Las Vegas Blvd. We are open 10-6 Monday-Friday, and 10-2 on Saturday. Or feel free to give me a call at ###-###-####.

Build-A-Bear Workshop!
We have had 2 birthday parties there - the Westside Pavillion location. Both parties were EASY, fantastic, not expensive, and everyone had a great time. Then we went upstairs to the food court for pizza.

Oooh. I loooove planning little girl birthday parties. I have one child -- a girl -- and it has been a huge joy for me each year to plan a special party around my daughter's favorite topic of the year. We've had an Ariel party, a fairy tea party and an American Girl doll party.
What brings your daughter joy? Is she into a kid celebrity? My daughter is only seven, so I need a better idea of what a 10 year old thinks is cool. Drop me an email and I'd be happy to share more ideas. An idea of your general budget would be very helpful, too.
