1 Cm at 34 Weeks

What did your doctor say? You must have seen someone to know you are 1 cm. I would tell your boss and see if you can cut down on hours for the next few weeks. Take your doctor's advice!! If s/he didn't say anything to you, call immediately and ask!

I wouldn't worry to much. I was 3cm for over a month with my first daughter and she was 2 weeks late. With my second daughter I was 2cm for about 3 weeks. The baby will come when they are ready. If you are worried about it you can have your doctor check you. Just try not to worry and relax being stressed won't help you or your baby. Also I had thought my second daughter would come fast but she didn't. I was in active labor for 5 days with her and I wasn't dialating. Contractions would start get down to about 4-5 min apart and then stop. You will be fine just take everything slow. Good luck to you and your baby.

doesn't mean anything- i was 1 cm dialated at 34 wks and gave birth at 42wks- induced! I was 2cm at 38 wks and 3 cms at 41 weeks. Good luck

Don't worry - You can be 1 cm for weeks.

Every woman is different and every preganancy can be different. I think you should talk to your OB/GYN or Midwife about your concerns. Is it that you want/need to continue working that is making you anxious?

I was 2 cm dialated for over a month with my son. i thought my son was going to be here early and so did one of my docs. but i went from mid april til may 30th being dialated. (my son was even 2 weeks late lol) i was under a lot of stress between that and other things going on i thought that that would have brought on labor ealy but it didn't. i would definately have a doc keep checking to make ure all is staying the same thou. good luck to you.

I was 1cm at 34 weeks as well... and then SLOWLY went upto 2cm and stayed 2... finally they had to induce me 2days after my due date... Ofcourse each individual is differnet. Please dont worry..... from what I was told.... it doesnt matter when they come you'll never be fully prepared.....so try and relax...she/he will be happy to be in your arms regardless of how unprepared momma is :) Good Luck!!

With my daughter, I was 1 1/2 cm dilated for the last four weeks. I was working 40 hours a week at a stressful job, but I happened to work in the emergency room of the hospital I was going to have her in. Eight days before my due date I went in and was still 1 1/2 cm. That night and the next day I thought I was in labor and called the doctor, who reassured me I was not. Anyway I ended up having a very long labor and finally going into the hospital at 3am at 5cm and not having her until 4pm the next day.

I guess just saying it could go any way, very unpredicable, but it is not uncommon at all to be even a couple cm dilated for weeks beforehand.

I was 2 com dialated for my last month and a half. Every pregnancy is different, you'll be fine, just don't stress.

I had a very mellow yoga tape for pregnant women that I used. Only about 20 minutes (although it was also easy to just use parts of it if you didn't have time), the instructor also showed you how to make adjustments in the moves as you progressed thru the trimesters. I found the breathing and gentle movements very calming and soothing. I can't remember the exact name, but I bought it on Amazon.
I'm not really a yoga-type person, but this really helped while I was pregnant.

I wouldn't worry too much. I was dialated 1cm for a little more than 1 1/2 months. Just take what ever advice your doctor gives you. Everything you will be fine.

I wouldn't worry about it. With my daughter I was 10 cm and fully afaced for almost 2 months. I just had my second child and with him I was 5 cm for 3 weeks and when I finally went to the hospital at 39 weeks I went from 5 to 10 cm in about 45 minutes. In fact it happened so fast that my son was born in the wheelchair. Of course I had also been leaking all day as well. But I wouldn't worry about it

Every pregnancy is different, I would take a deep breath and relax because that is not going to help you or the baby. I know its hard to because you just want the baby to be healthy but you can be 1cm for a while. If you are still worried ask your doctor or the nurse. I always felt better after talkin to mine and i had alot of questions.
