“Remember when’s” have always played a huge role in my life. At a significantly young age, I realized the importance of having images of the ones we love. My Mom lost her Mother in her late 30's and my only “memories” of my grandma are the faded black and white photographs I have seen through the years.

My name is Shani Baird, and I reside in north Texas about 45 minutes from Dallas. I am married to the most wonderful husband who has encouraged me every step of the way in beginning a photography business. We have a beautiful little girl, Haleigh Grace, who is full of s**** and energy and all of three years old! Then, there is my sweet Brittyn Faith that was born July of this year!

My home is filled with photographs of the ones I love, to remind me daily of the blessings God has given me to enjoy in my life. From snapshots to creative photography every image plays its role. Images allow us a visual memory of the special times in our lives. After the birth of my first daughter, I realized even more the importance of creating memories through photography. Mid-night feedings and sleepless nights faded my memory far faster than anyone could have prepared me for!

As you browse my galleries you will see that my style is very simple. I strive to capture your loved ones as they are. It does not always have to be the big smile or face-forward portrait, I hope to capture times that you will remember forever!

When I am learning to shoot in a new location I take my daughter along for the session. I was bribing her this day with a minute of watching Dora the Explorer in the car and a minute of picture-taking. She was playing with a stick in the water "Pretend fishing." While I was ready to leave, She squated there not moving in the least. "One minute Mommy!," She yelled. If I would have been focused on getting posed portraits, I would have missed capturing the memory! This is a beautiful image with a priceless memory that I will never forget.
