Yet Another Potty Question

I have a 3 yr old little girl. She is very smart, can dress, undress herself, speaks in full sentences, ect. She flat out refuses to sit on the potty. I finally told her the store was out of diapers and we were not buying anymore. She said OK.
She TT'd on the potty last night and got stickers and was very very excited. Today, once again flat out refuses to sit on it at all.
SHe is in pullups which I think are confusing her because she can still go and not actually get wet. She dose not care if she is wet or dirty at all. SHe would have worn the same diaper all day long if we would have let her.
Saturday I am going to put her in panties and tuff it out. I think actually getting wet will make a difference. Any more suggestions???
I have heard late walkers are late potty trainers. Anyone eles heard this? She did not walk until 16 months.

What can I do next?

What I did with mine which may or may not help my daughter is the same she could have really cared less about going or getting her diaper changed. We told her that she could not go to Vaction Bible school this summer if she was still in diapers that only potty trained kids could go. Which is kind of true, but anyways that was enough for her to get up and start going in the potty, pooping well thats a different story that took weeks to get going but she finally got that down too. If you don't have any incentive like that then we also took her to the store and she picked out her favorite panites and when she wore them we told her "don't pee on Dora she will get yucky and sad" And everytime she wet she did get upset and say oh no! Dora!! That might also help! Good luck and just hang in there it will click.

Well for sure get rid of the pull ups except for night time. But honestly, the very best potty training advice I can ever give is to let them have nothing on their bottoms for a day or two. She could wear a long t-shirt, or even a little dress, but it really clicks when they feel that sensation. Sometimes even panties make them feel like there is something that will catch the poop or pee. After a few days, she should at least have the sensation and panties will be good from there on. Best of luck to you both!! ~A.~

I've never heard that late walkers are late potty trainers, my son walked at 9 months old, and will be 3 in September, we haven't started potty training yet, I'm ready too, I'm tired of buying diapers. I work full time and just haven't made the effort I need to start training him on a regular basis. I'm really ready to be done with diapers...

Haven't heard the walk thing, my daughter walked at 1yr.
She potty trained at almost 3 & 1/2 She always would go in the Pull Ups, to her they were just another kind of diaper. One day I got rid of the pull ups and went straight to "Princess" Panties and she has been doing great ever since! She did have an accident or two at first but did not like to get her new panties messy. Wish I had gone to panties earlier!

I hadn't heard that but my son did not walk until 16 mo and potty trained at 3 1/2 yrs. If you put plastic panties over her reg underwear it will be less mess for you and she will feel it even more. Hang in there.

Don't worry my daughter is almost 3 and she has peeing on the potty pretty much down but poo...well, not quite. My 6 year old was potty trained shortly after turning 2 and was no trouble at all. So they are all different. Sometimes I think my little one might have some control issues (we have battles over food too). Anyway, we just consistently put her on the potty and praise her for just sitting on it. Also we took away the pull ups so when she makes a mess, it is unpleasant for her. She didn't care about messy pull ups either. But as soon as she was in panties, she would cry about being wet or poopy. We have been doing a lot of laundry lately but she is getting better. I think I might use the advice before me and tell her only potty trained girls get to spend the night with grandma and grandpa ;)
