HI everyone I recently decided to start with a company becoming an independent consultant for them and I was wondering if any of you could help me get my business started. I don't really know people in my area and I am in desperate need of clients. Can anyone tell me how I can start realing them in.

What can I do next?

I have to ask, what kind of company is it? What kind of products are you selling?

Lol...well, if you live in the Houston area you can start by checking out if there is a women's business organization near you that you can join. They have monthly get togethers and community directories that you can be listed in. Get involved in civic activities, fairs, trade shows...etc. Post your business cards in grocery stores and apartment complexes. Both normally have bulletin boards where others have done the same. Focus on getting one or two clients who can refer you to others. I don't know if you are in direct sales or network marketing but if you hold parties or demonstrations try to always book 2-3 parties off of every one. Pass out "contact cards" at your parties or demos where everyone fills in their contact info and level of interest in your business (promotions, holding a party, or joining the business) and then contact them after the party to discuss their interest further. Send out a monthly newsletter or e-mail and then any promotions as they come along. E-mail works wonders for my business!! Ummm...there's a lot more you can do but this should get you started. If you have any questions get in touch. Mind if I ask what business you are in???
Good luck!
