Wii Need Opinions on Games for 6 Yr Old

Hi

We just bought the Wii for my niece who is turning 6 this September. I bought the console and want to buy her one cartridge (do they even call the games that any more?). Read the back of the boxes but unsure which one would be best. She is sort of a tom boy - not into the whole princess thing...and told us recently that she no longer likes High School Musical (thank God!). Any opinions on which games your 5-8 year olds like would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

How about a Lite Brite or something she can make?

Carnival or Playground. Wii Sports should come with it.
My son also has the Lego Star Wars and Lego Indiana Jones and he really likes them.
Carnival and Playground are loads of fun. Our whole family plays them.

There is also a site called www.gamefly.com. I highly recommend it over Blockbuster. They mail the games to you and if you don't like them, you turn right around and send them back and get the next one on your list. If you do like it, keep it as long as you want. We have been using them for years!

Hi K.,
I am a mom of a 13 yr old girl, much older, but I think the WII Sports Pak, with bowling, fishing, tennis(a little hard), and there is also one called Cooking Mama, you could rent it first at Blockbuster and then buy if she likes it...I think that would be the way to go, but the sport pak is great, there's a lot to work with and her age group can definitely have fun with it, also the new wii fitness sounds great but I didn't purchase it yet, these games are great for you and her to interact together, and they have beginner levels! Since you are her aunt and want to buy one game, I would go with Cooking Mama, it's great! Have fun with it and enjoy!

We love Carnival Games. I think there are 25 different games to play. My daughter just turned 7 and she is pretty good at most of the games. We have Playground too and that's good too, but I like carnival better! Have FUN!We also have Wii Fit and that's tons of fun too.
