I am looking for a Valentine's Treat to take to my son's Preschool. If anyone has any ideas of any treat that is healthy or not let me know. One of the kids has an allergy to peanut oil so prefer nothing with that. Also if you do have one that does have peanut oil that is good I would like to try it for my own kids. Thanks and have a wonderful day!

What can I do next?

You can make little sandwiches with meat cheese or pbj’s and cut them out with little heart cookie cutters. This is fun for any day too. My kids loved it and you didn't have to deal with the crust.

This is from kraft and my friend made these but she put frozen strawberries too less than a cup and some for on top. They were really good. And the kids can make up there own.
1 pkg. (2-layer size) white cake mix
1 pkg. (4-serving size) JELL-O Brand Strawberry Flavor Gelatin, or any red flavor
1 tub (8 oz.) COOL WHIP Whipped Topping, thawed
1/4 cup seasonal colored sprinkles

PREPARE cake batter as directed on package. Stir in dry powered gelatin until well blended.
LINE 24 medium muffin cups with paper liners. Pour batter evenly into cups, filling each cup 1/2 full. Place a small marble or 1/2-inch ball of foil between each liner and one side of the cup, pushing the paper in to form a heart shape. Bake as directed on package for cupcakes. Cool completely; remove marble or foil.
SPREAD 2 Tbsp. whipped topping onto top of each cupcake. Decorate each with 1/4 tsp. sprinkles as desired. Store cupcakes in refrigerator.

Have fun and let the little ones help they love that when the class is eating something that they made.

When my daughter was in he nursery at church, one year I sent mini-muffins with whipped cream "frosting" that I tinted pink and piped on in a swirl. The children thought it was frosting and I controlled the amount of sugar I put into the whipping cream. You can sprinkle colored sugar on top. I found strawberry marshmallows at Wal-mart and you can make strawberry rice crispy treats shaped as hearts. I sometimes color my marshmallow and make green rice Crispy treats for St. Patric's day. Cheese and fruit cut with mini cookie cutters called aspic cutters would be a fun snack as well. Enjoy whatever you make for the children.

If you are looking for something very simple I would take a sandwich cut in a heart shape. I have also done cheese and crackers with the cheese cut in a shape. The kids always love that. I will tell you that a cupcake or something similar is not welcome by your teacher. They are always so messy and the children never eat anything but the frosting.
