Vaccinations - Tualatin,OR

we went through something very similar in that our daughter had some reactions to shots early on and we decided to go with a delayed vaccination schedule. Early on, our doctor had the separate antigens for the MMR, but, the last time we went, she said they are no longer available since the manufacturers didin't find them profitable. Our doctor said that she feels the makers will bring them back if enough parents complain, though. For us, I said I would continue down the delayed vaccination schedule and we will wait it out. You can always claim a religious/philosophical exemption when signing your child up for school. Best of luck to you!

I would go see Dr. Kate Wiggin. She does house calls too. But if your daughter had a reaction, I would really follow that mom intuition, it's not worth further reactions. Good luck.

FYI, if you're uncomfortable with the vaccinations you can also decline to give them to her. Oregon's "religious exemption" rule is written very broadly in the law, allowing for even ethical or personal objections. You can just sign the religious exemption section of the vaccination form and leave it at that. No one will ask you for further information (they are prohibited by law from asking you for more), and you can still give your child all the vaccinations you want. You just go ahead and list what she HAS had for their information but then they won't require you to do the rest. I know it feels a little weird to sign a thing that says you "belong to a religion" etc, but the DHS has a pamphlet on this that makes it very clear about the legal language.
