I don't know if North Dallas is too far for you. I highly recommend Stacey www.massagebystacey.com I've used her for 2 years and she has been a huge help! I've also used the chiropractor she works for. Let me know if you have any questions.

I'm having the same issues. Mine feels tight and like the top of my back constantly needs to be cracked. I'm 27 and not overweight either. I'm on the verge of seeing the doc about it... I hope you get some good responses!

Hi Mum
I see an osteopath when my back is in pain.
I not sure where you stand on mind and body connection. I'll fill you in on the emotional connections with back pain to give you another angle.
Middle back pain is connection to guilt, let go of any guilt that you might have.
Shoulder pain is linked to feelings of having too much responsibility.
The left side represents the past and male energy.
The right side is the future and female energy.
Best of luck
B.

Could it be your gall bladder? I had pain in my back for years and it ended up being my gall bladder and not my back! My pain was just above where my ribs end to between my shoulder blades. I thought for years it was my back, but it all went away when I had my gall bladder taken out.

Chiropractic will definitely help. Whether it is "bone" related or not is not really the issue. Chiropractic is meant to allow the body to heal itself. What you need is something to get your body going in the right direction for healing. A good chiropractor (I always suggest an upper cervical specialist) can diagnose and let you know what is wrong. They can also give you an idea of when to expect relief and healing.

I was a skeptic for many many years but after I had my first child, and my sister and husband dragged me kicking and screaming, I was amazed at what could be done when the body works properly. My family doesn't hardly ever get sick. My family doesn't have the annoying things that most families go through and my family feels good. Ask around and see how many people you know actually feel good.

If you don't have one that has been recommended to you by a friend, go to upcspine.com and fine one in your area. Whoever you go to see, interview them and ask them how chiropractic works with the immune system. If they don't know, then you're in the wrong place.

God bless,

M.

Yes, a Chiropractor will help you. Have you tried doing stretches for your back? Physical Therapy could help also. You could look online for back exercises and stretching.

Try heat and ice and see if that helps. I've been going to a Chiropractor in Mansfield and he is wonderful (our whole family is going there!) and they have exercises that you do also and there is electrical stimulation and the roller bed too. I'm feeling so much better now. I came in with neck hurting and fingers stiff. Fingers are no longer stiff and neck pain is gone and found out I had some back pain/problem that I didn't know about. If you need his contact info, I'll be glad to share it. The X-Rays and initial consultation is free with a referral from a current patient.

Good luck

It could be a number of things from your posture, being large-busted (even if you aren't overweight), to simply just needing a chiropractic adjustment &/or a massage. I'd start w/ the adjustment/massage first and then go from there.

When I was about 28, I had the same problem. I am tall, and upper back pain is more common in tall people who sit a lot. At the time, I sat at my desk most of the day. I went to a physical therapist who gave me some stretches and simple exercises for my back, and it worked beautifully. I have always been fairly active, and at that time, my right side was so much stronger than my left side that it was causing strain on the muscles in my back. Now, if I begin to feel that burning between my shoulder blades, I get a massage, pay attention to my posture when I'm sitting, and practice those stretches and back exercises.

I suffer chronic back pain too and see a chiro. I have always thought it's from carrying my kids in my hip. Massage is available at my DC office too. I do an hour then an adjustment. Dr. St. Onge is his name ###-###-####.

Take a look at my response to the post before yours. I had forgotten what had happened to me, but I caught my 48 lb daughter falling down the stairs. She would have slammed her head on the hard wood floor.

Anyway, I didn't mention yesterday was my appointment for my epidural (mentioned on previous post) and so far so good. It can wear off or it can do the trick. I am hoping for the best since I have already come such a long way.

Best of luck to you.
