Trundle Bed - Valrico,FL

I am looking for a trundle bed to bunk my daughters together, I have 2 daughter & one on the way & only have a 3 bedroom house, I am looking for something inexpensive because I am a stay at home mom & have to watch every penny spent. I don't have anything for my newborn, we weren't going to have anymore children & then of course we changed our mind & I sold everything I had. Also, does anyone know is you can convert a twin bed you already have into a trundle bed?

Thanks,

T

Don't know where you could get a cheap trundle, but if Haverty's (overpriced furniture) has them for $99, then try Kane's or even the RTG regular or outlet. My friend bought a nice bunkbed from Sam's Club or Target (can't remember which). They can either be stacked or left as two seperate beds.

Definitely watch Craigslist or the flyer for baby deals, since you need baby items, as well. I also recommend children's consignments for clothing (which they outgrow superfast) and even cribs, highchairs, strollers, or swings. The best one I've been to is Once Upon a Child, one is in Brandon and the other near Lutz. Also Amazon.com often has free shipping for on orders over $25. You can read the product reviews, compare items and prices, and never have to waste the gas. :)

I don't know if your interested but we have bunkbeds from RTG. Instead of the optional trundal bed we got drawers underneath. So we could have had 3 bed in the bunkbeds. I know it's a bigger investment then you wanted but it might work longer for you then you might have planned. Just a thought. I was trying to post a link but their site is down. The bunkbeds are twin on top and double on the bottom and then drawers instead of another bed.

Just buy a trundle that rolls under the twin bed and you can easily pull it out at night. They don't cost much at all. My girls are in college now and we got a day bed for their room with a trundle under it. When they both are here at the same time they just pull it out. Works great. For years I had bunk beds and then when they got bigger and we got new box springs and mattresses for them they sit them side by side. Go to yard sales. You will be surprised at what you can find.

As long as the twin bed is a certain height off the floor, you can put a trundle under it. That's what we did with my son's bed. I bought the trundle new from Haverty's for $99. I do occasionally see trundles for sale in The Flyer, or you can check Craig's List (craigslist.com). Hope this helps.
