Does anyone have a toy storage organizational system that they love?? Where did you get it from? I am looking for more than just a few storage bins. Thanks!

A month ago I was tired of not being able to find a storage system. So my MIL (who is very handy) said we can build a shelving unit. I went to Home Depot & got all the supplies we needed & built 2 shelving units that has worked great for larger toys & I planned on putting smaller bins on it too then i went to a friends house & noticed a real nice storage system. It's from Ikea called Trofast. I went out and bought it. I have 3 kids 5,4, & 2, it has been great. At Ikea they have options for how to assemble the storage unit from larger units to smaller ones. I am very pleased with what we built but the Ikea system is great & perfect for what I needed.

For my daughter, we got a 9-cube organizer from Target (http://www.target.com/Closetmaid-9-Cube-Organizer-Alder/d...) They come in different colors, and the cubes are a good size. You can also buy separate bins to put in some of them if you need.

My daughter is almost 4, and this is easy for her to put her toys away. I wish we had the wall space (and money lol) to get more of these kinds of shelves. Target had a lot of different cubes & shelves that you could stack and use together.

Have you heard of elfa at The Container Store yet? It's on sale right now- 30% off- and the drawer units are great for storing things neatly. Especially little toys. They have a great kids table that I think is awesome- http://www.containerstore.com/shop/elfa/bestSellingSoluti.... They have lots of other options too.

Good luck!

I totally agree with what Ikea has. I can get lost in there putting ideas together. Once we have the space, we will be going there to get the items needed to create the right storage spaces for my kids. The great things is you can put different things together to get what you need without making it look like you bought 3 different kinds of storage setups.

Dear Mommie, I have a suggestion for some of the clutter/toys. we put hanging shoe bags on the back of all our kids doors including the office door. they come in several sizes at places like target and walmart. ours are made of a canvas material. they have clear plastic pouch pockets. we have things like video game stuff (nintendo gameboy games, wires adapters etc ) art stuff crayones , legos, markers, action figures etc. it gets them off the floor and into clear containers so they can see them. (easier to play with something you can find) good luck organizing.
