Toddler Car Seat - Forney, TX

My ten, soon to be eleven month old daughter, will need a new car seat shortly. Am pretty clueless as to what to get. I've researched the Britax Boulevard which had excellent reviews from consumer publications, but no so much from moms. My husband is all hot on it due to the side impact protection which I like, but am getting mixed information. I read a mom review which said it was "too big" for her Explorer! Yikes! I still have my Honda Accord. Does anyone have experience with this make/model or have other suggestions? Thanks!!

What can I do next?

I have the Boulevard, and I love it. It is definetly one of those car seats that you leave in one car. It is big and pretty heavy. I have a Expedition, but I put it in my mom's car sometimes. She drives that small C-class mercedes. It does fit, but its a tight squeeze. It just depends whose sitting in the seat in front of the car seat and how much leg room they need. But in saying that also, I put it behind my moms seat and she's 5'10. My son can kick the back of her seat, but we have just taught him not to do that. So there's something to think about!!

We have a marathon, but I imagine the Boulevard is on a par with it... Yes, it is larger but that's because it is way way way better built than the other car seats. I drive a Jetta and the seat is compatible. Yes it's big and so is my son, but it's worth it. He loves his car seat and so do I. You just can't beat the Britax. I with I had gotten it sooner actually.

We have the Marathon in my husband's SUV and an Eddie Bauer in mine. I think its similar to the Boulevard. The Marathon is certainly on the big side but they say Britax is the best. My son favors the one in my car, however. He is more comfortable in it though I'm not exactly sure why. Maybe its contoured to his body better??? Who knows.
If you've decided on the Britax, I'm sure you'll be fine with it in your Honda. You'll just have to move the passenger front seat up quite a bit. :)

We have the Britax Decathlon and my 15 mo old loves it! I drive a passat and it fits fine in the middle seat, hooked in with the latch. We've also fit two adults in back with him and they fit fine (though my brother in law was a little squished...)
We actually returned a cheaper seat for my husbands truck and bought the boulevard.
It is a research process, but i think saftey over rules anything else.
GOod luck!

I got an evenflo triumph lx, and LOVE IT! Very safe, very comfortable, good all the way to 50 lbs and 50 inches, and a whole lot cheaper! Worth checking out. It's also a bit smaller than a britax.

My daughter has been in it since she was 6 months old and I love it! I have an H3 (the little one) and it fits fine. Before that I had an Explorer and the H3 is WAY smaller than my explorer was.

We have Wizards (these were revamped and renamed the Boulevard) in a Honda Accord (2003) and a Honda Pilot (2005) so you should be just fine if you go with the Boulevard. I don't think it's too big at all. It's in the center of the backseat and we've never had a space problem with adult riders in the back.
