Hi Tenora,

It might be tough to find a craft situation that would interest those two age groups. If you are open to something else, Infinite Bounds (in Plano) offers a super birthday party. It is large enough to accommodate a number of children (and their parents). They lead fun, age appropriate games, and allow time for free play. It is a gymnastics place, but for birthday parties they also set up inflatable slides, obstacle courses, etc. They also take care of the set up, packaging up your gifts, and allow you to enjoy the party. A friend of mine just had a party there for her 5 year old and 2 year old twins. My daughter wanted (and had) her last three parties there.

Good luck, and Happy Birthday!

I saw Michaels organises kids craft party's. Unfortunately I saw it only after our birthdays (they turned 5 and 3 two weeks ago). So for us it was too late, but I think it's a perfect idea. It was not expensive, and there were a couple of crafts you can choose from. Maybe it's also on the website. Minimum of 6 kids.

Hope this helps, I.

I know a lady who is wonderful with children. She used to keep my older boys when she had an in-home daycare. She has a pottery business where she does parties now. Her name is Kim, and her number is ###-###-####.

Gymboree has two play gyms...1 in plano and the other in frisco. They offer play classes, as well as art, and music. They incorporate it all into a birthday party for your little ones. if I remember correctly the prices vary depending on how much you supply, but they can do the whole party (cake, balloons etc) if you want them too. Around $150ish I think. Anyway, if you are interested go to gymboree.com and click on "play and music"

We had my daughter's 2nd birhtday at Jump in Zone in McKinney. It is an indoor inflatable jump house with slides, bounces houses, obstical course, and a play fort and they have an arcade area in the front. They have private rooms for the cake and presents. We had children age 10mo-6yr and all the parents and everyone had a good time. They will set up all the plates and party goodies for you and do all the cleaning up.

This isn't a crafty idea, but because of the boy/girl difference and age range, Pump It Up might be a great fit. They have huge inflatables for lots of activity, enough to wear out any toddler! When my daughter turned 2, her daycare classmates just loved it!

We have gone to play dates at Clubhouse for Kids in Plano. They have multiple themed rooms for imagination play - a grocery store, theatre, craft room, hospital, etc. There is a variety of activities and my daughter has enjoyed it over the years. We first went there when she was 2 and she's 4 now and still loves it. Their web site is http://www.clubhouseforkids.com. You can print out a coupon on their web site for free play to check it out.

We also had my daughter's 3rd birthday party at The Little Gym. It's not as crafty, but they do a great job of entertaining the kids with activities.

Good luck!
