Swimming Lessons in the Vista lakes/Lake Nona Area

I am going to enroll my son in the following that was recommended by my pediatrician. You can most likely find an instructor that will come to your house. Or you can go there for a one on one session. However, if you have them come to your home, it is twice as much. I think it is $105 application fee and $75 per week if you go to their location. For my son of 2.5 years, the instructor said it'd be 5-6 weeks training. But every child is different. And they recommend follow up refresher courses at some point. But if you have your own pool and the child swims a lot, I'd think you'd do okay without the refresher course. Check out www.infantswim.com I haven't tried this yet for my son, but will be doing so this summer. We tried Sharks and Minnows too. The instructor we had was so nice and patient, but he didn't pass to the next stage because it involved more instruction than I think he could understand at the time. My brother stumbled on to this Infant Swimming Resource website. If you can, watch the video. I was impressed that they eventually teach while the child is fully clothed. There is a place on the website where you just put in your zip code and it will locate instructors in your area.

I used ISR (infant swim resource) and went with miss Peggy too.. she is great, my son did very well he was almost 2 then , and I am going back this june for refreshments and for floating lessons for my 8 month old baby girl

Both of my boys went through Infant Swim Resource. I loved their instructer Peggy Woolworth. She lives in Eastwood and teaches right from her own pool.
