is there an all natural sunscreen or any suncreen you recommend for a 3 mo old or is it too early to put it on him?

You are not supposed to put sunscreen on babies until 6 mo. Their skin is way too fragile. Your best bet is to keep him covered and shaded.
My Pediatrician says no sunscreen until the baby is 6 months. For babies younger than that, just keep them covered or in the shade.

"they" say infants under 6 months should not use sunscreen. ask your pediatrician but its probably best to keep newby covered and out of son til six months anyway. wide brim hats are great..childrens place, gap...
i love the aveeno baby...oatmeal based product and it woks great. no burns and stays on well in water and we swim a bunch and are out in the garden and with the horse.

My sons and I are very fair skinned. So I always apply
sunscreen before we leave the house. (6mnth old and 3 year old.) There is a sunscreen called Mustela (I get it from Right Start) it is safe for newborns and sensitive skin.

Not sure if it is too early; however, I love California Baby SPF 30 sunscreen. It is pretty expensive but so worth it! I have used it on my kids since they were babies and no sunburns! I get it at Mothers Market, but you should be able to find online and possibly at some of the local drugstores.
First off at 3mos, not matter what you get you'll want to test a little bit on baby first. "They" say 6mos is when you can start w/sunscreen, before that proper clothing,hats, umbrella's, etc.. so bascially if you can wait 3 more months that would be best but you don't have to keep baby out of the sun! 10-15 minutes a day is great on the skin to receive some Vit D.

As Teri mentioned earlier, I also use California Baby, only I use the fragrance-free SPF 18. I used this on my son before 6 months. It is my understanding that titanium dioxide sunscreens can be used on the littler babies, whereas the chemical sunscreens are not advised until after 6 mo. Both zinc or Titanium dioxide are physical sun barriers. I use it on myself, too, because I really like how it isn't greasy or smelly.
