Go on your local Chamber of Commerence website or Visitor's Guide for ideas. Most cities, states and counties have websites and will post happenings and events on their sites. I know I love flea markets too. All of this stuff is posted online you just need to be on their list and you will get emails of upcoming events.

My husband and I love festivals! I also love taking my kids to them. I know nothing about your area, but search for music festivals, arts festivals and food festivals. We love Americana music and bluegrass music, so we go to a lot of those. Many are multi-day camping events, so that's even more fun! Arts festivals are great too, and they often also feature bands. A Google search for your area and specific types of festivals should help as well as searching some of the state and national park sites around you -they often offer festivals.

OMG, there are hundreds of festivals in/near NJ! Our family loves going to them. There is the AWESOME QuickChek Balloon Festival in July, Octoberfest at Bear Mountain in September, the State Fair at the Meadowlands and in Augusta, NJ (which is more of a traditional agricultural state fair), the Kutztown Folk Art festival in Kutztown, PA just to name a few.

Go to www.njfamily.com and sign up for their weekly e-newsletter that lists upcoming events for the week. There is also a calendar and activities listings on their website.

LOVE that you're already thinking about summer. So am I! Have a great one.
