I have yet to find a good salon for myself but I am also looking for someone with a lot of experience for my son. He has a triple cowlick on the crown of his head and he's at the age that he wants to look "cool" no one has been able to cut his hair because of the cowlicks. Any suggestions?

What can I do next?

My son isalmost 5 and could care less about looking cool(like your son). However he has cowlicks that not even duct tape would control LOL
I started to give a buzz cut year round it has solved the problem. It might not be cool but at least his hair is neat and it doesn't look like he just rolled out of bed

Hey K.,

I always feel so bad when people have a hard time finding someone to do their hair. I have been going to the same hairdresser since I was 15...I'm 37 now. She's awesome, kind, empathetic, amazing with scissors and has an amazing personality. I have recommended her many times and everyone loves her. I brought my own daughter to her for her first haircut and she's five now and loves to go and visit
'Kim"....all I can say is she's awesome. Her salon is in Salem, NH off of rte 28 on Hampshire Street. Her phone number is ###-###-####. Not too far at all from Haverhill. I moved years ago from Methuen to Dracut and I still drive the 30 minutes b/c she is great and her services are great...and can't beat the prices either. Good luck...

Hi,
I have horrible cowlicks too. I found a stylist named Janis at Amelia's hair salon just over the Haverhill border on Rte. 110 in Merrimac. She was willing to cut my hair dry - a very hard thing to do - so she could see where all my quirks were. And she picked each one out without me telling her. She'd say "I bet this area gives you trouble." I had been unable to find another stylist wiling to cut my hair dry up until then. She did a fantastic job. I did find personally for myself - this won't be an issue for your son - that she is not very good with haircolor however. I guess everyone has their strengths. Anyway, all my neighbors have switched to her after they saw my hair. Good luck!

I would recommend Joanne Melonas. She is at J Christopher Haircutts in Andover. ###-###-####. You need to ask for her. She was train in Beverly Hills and keeps very current in the styles. She is great with kids. She cut my son's hair until he left for college. She is a mom
Hope this helps
