My toddlers had ravioli for dinner tonight and now their plastic high chair trays have red stains on them that didn't come out when I washed them. Can I get those stains out somehow?

What can I do next?

Hi D.. Have you tried using bleach? Bleach is used in restaurants/food service venues as a cleaning and sterilizing agent and can can safely be rinsed.

In the future, you can try our trick: we spray the tray with Pam (or any oil spray) before serving the food. After the meal, use cold water to wash the tray with soap. The red sauce should slide off easily and should not stain. Once there's no trace of the red sauce, you can wash again in hot water.

Good luck!! :)

This sounds crazy, but I swear it works! Leave the tray out in the sun. The sun somehow fades the stain away. I had even just left my tray by my kitchen sink which is right by a window....the sun was still able to fade away the stain.

Try bleach or an Efferdent tablet(denture cleaner) dissolved in water.

I'm not sure if they will totally remove the stain, but I LOVE LOVE LOVE Mr. Clean Magic erasers. I use them all over my house!! You can find them in the cleaing aisle of all stores (Grocery, Walmart, Walgreens...)

Any product with bleach will work. I use Clorox Anywhere. It is watered down so it's safe to spray just about anywhere. Good luck.

Hi D. -

Seeing as we are NOT big fans of kids and bleach together.....we use peroxide <sorry sp ck> right from the bottle. If stains stay - leave soaking in the sun........works wonders.

Good Luck.
