Target has a small backless booster that works well. It's blue with black arms I can't remember what brand I think it's a Graco.

I can't speak to the Toyota Sienna, but I couldn't fit three Graco backless boosters across the back seat of my Windstar.

I used to use the backless Graco booster and it fits in all cars (we always took it while traveling and used it in many rentals). My daughter (now 6) doesn't need a booster any longer. There are no laws here in Florida requiring it after 3 or 4 years old, plus my daughter is big enough to sit without it.

Ours had an attachment to hold the seatbelt strap at the shoulder and not go against the neck.

I think I used the Graco backless one. Darn thing fit everywhere and was great for moving from one car to another. It was all I used. I know some people don't think small is safe but that is what my then three year old was in when I got in a major accident with my van. To give you some idea of the severity of the accident it totaled an around 26,000 dollar van that was only four months old. Not a scratch on the child, no soft tissue damage, just nothing! It really keeps the seat belt where it needs to be to protect a child.

Just so you know this child is 13 now, the laws were different back then. It was perfectly reasonable and legal to put a large three year old in a booster seat.

Can you get one of the small backless booster seats? I am talking about the ones that are just a small seat with two small armrests that the seatbelt goes through.....

I know we would have issues with our Honda. It's small back there! I'd be OK boostering a child age 6 and up provided he can sit properly and meets the requirements, but I'd go high-back.

For ages 9 and up I'd allow backless. It can be tough to find what fits. Good luck!

if you need harnassed car seats to fit back there you can buy the Radian, it is super skinny. I think they also make booster but not positive as I transport a younger crowd.
