We just changed insurance and need to find a pediatrician, a (preferably female) OB, and a GP/family practice/internist doctor. Any referrals would be much appreciated - right now the peds we're looking at are Dr. Happy Khanna, Dr. Beesley, Dr. Hartstein and Dr. Henry? We have limited amount of visits per year, so ideally we'd like to meet with our ped before setting up our first appt. Thanks!

Dr. Henry is absolutely the best ped we've ever had! Dr. Hartstein, and everyone at Glendale Pediatrics, is great, too. but we especially love Dr. Henry. He takes the time to talk to you about every issue you have, is incredibly kind and funny, and my kids love him. We had 2 drs before him, and feel he is the best by far.

Dr. Henry is FANTASTIC! We absolutely love him!

Dr. Sharon Nelson is also a wonderful OBGYN.

You would have to go through Glendale Physicians Alliance probably, but Dr. Shirley Chan is a well-known and well-liked OB. She's delivered tons of babies and she's really good about managing tons of patients at one time without making you wait hours on end.

Personally I really did NOT like Dr. Khanna, her bedside manner leaves ALOT to be desired. We switched and now go to Descanos Pediatrics in La Canada and see Dr. Anderson and love her, love all the Drs. there, you can't go wrong! Huge difference between offices in every single way.

I love Dr. Henry, but I want to mention something that is a bit of a problem I've had -- I can't get to see him. He was great for our hospital visits when Ivan was just born, and I was able to see him for Ivan's 2 week appointment, but they haven't been able to set up any other well baby visits with him. I have had to go to other doctors in the practice since then. I like the other doctors, so that's okay, but we don't have a ped that knows who Ivan is.

Hi M., I go to Dr Khanna and am very happy with her! She is very good with our 4 month old daughter and listens and answers questions wonderfully.

We go to Descanso Pediatrics in La Canada.. The whole group is amazing! I never have a preference for which doctor we see-- they work great as a team!

OB I see Dr. Janet Shori out of Verdugo Hills.. Dr. Iwata is in her group also and they are both great!

I have heard great things from friends who have worked with both Drs. Henry and Hartstein. As for OBs, Dr. Nelson is really good, as is Dr. Terri Osterkamp (She is across from Verdugo Hills Hospital). We work with Dr. Khanna and have been really happy with her. She can be a bit quick in her bedside manner, but we found she doesn't miss a thing and is very proactive with things without being alarmist. I am not one who likes to go into the office unless I have to, so I have really appreciated how available the nurses are by phone to cover most minor illness issues. Good luck to you. It looks like you are off to a great start.
