So What Happened?

After trying to mix it with just about everything in my house, we decide to let her choose the utensil she took it with.
I mixed it with 5ml of milk to thin it out, It is a very thick med, almost as thick as pudding!!!
If your doc prescribes this med, beg beg beg for something else!!!!

i agree that soemtimes you jsut have to bribe children. is there a small toy that she ahs been asking you for? tell her that after all the meds are done 7-10 days. she can go to the store and you'll buy that toy for her. but only if she takes her meds like a big girl!! i done this with my son and it worked for him!!!

My 3 year old sometimes has to be bribed to take her medicine :P kinda the whole mary poppins theory. I will tell her she can have fruit snacks or juice or a cookie if she takes her medicine. If she has to have it several times a day you might try something like M&M's and just give her 3-4 each time she takes her meds.

The other thought is to put it in her drink... problem with that is if she doesn't finish the drink you don't know how much of the medicine she has taken but desperate times call for desperate measures :)
Good luck

If the medicine is distributed in a syringe i always aim it as far back into my sons throat as possible, this kinda bypasses the tastebuds so he doesnt realise it tastes bad. or you could try hiding it in a little chocolate milk or something that you know she will gobble down. she may not even mind the taste just the fact that she has to take medicine! 3 year olds are notorious for being independent so she may not want to do something she is being made to do, that she didnt decide to do herself! maybe making it seem like it is her idea to take it may make her WANT to take it! Anyway, good luck and also, your pharmacy has flavor they can add that will make it taste better, which i am sure you already know!
