Early Learning Center at United Disciples Christian Church in Richardson (corner of Beltline/Grove) (formerly First Christian Church of Richardson) is an excellent part-time program....they offer 2 or 3 day program through the school year (summers off).....small, loving environment....call them at ###-###-####.....

My company MomCheck www.momcheck.com has a searchable database of all childcare facilities in dfw. We're still new, so we're still free for a few more months. You can search by East Plano and by Richardson (we organize it in areas, not just zip codes or cities). We "secret shop" facilities, but we haven't made it over to that area yet - nevertheless, the database is complete, so you will at least have a list of every single facility!! You can narrow your list & then can ask for opinions from other moms on specific facilities. (Someone has already recommended Primrose to you...just FYI - all Primroses are franchises, meaning they are individually-owned - and they GREATLY vary in quality!! We've secret shopped quite a few....so if you tour one and like it, don't assume another one is the same.)

Good luck in your search!!

Whistle Stop Station is the nicest, most economical one I have encountered in the East Richardson area, off Renner Road. Outrageous waiting list but if you get on it and call every couple of weeks, they will call you back. I believe room moves are happening at the end of August. They have called me twice, both within the first week of my daugter's current school and so I gave my spot on the list to the next in line while we see about our current school.

We are actually going to Oakhill Day School off Brand Road-officially it's in Garland but it's about 5-7 minutes away from the Whistlestop. My daughter's crazy about it and I like it pretty well too-teacher's great and daughter's healthy and developing like crazy. An added bonus is that it's affordable.

I checked Children's Choice on Jupiter/190 in Richardson, it was a little steep pricewise ($225 for infants) and although the facility seemed nice, I didn't get the sense that the kids were happy there and I didn't get a very good vibe from the 18 months old teacher when I was there at the time (about 3-4 months ago).

Good Luck!

I see that you asked this question long time ago... but anyway. I just changed preschool for my daughter less than 2 months ago. She attends the Heritage Motessori Academy in Murphy (544 and Heritage) and we are very impressed with it. My daughetr comes daily from school with new ideas and words, excited to get up the next day again and see her teachers! Oh my! Her language skills grew so fast. She leanres so much, so many new words - hard ones too!
Well, we love that place. My daughetr is 4 and she will be going for Kindergarten there next year as well.

Hope it helps

If you are looking for a good school you should take a tour of Primrose Pre-schools. They are the greatest, and do such a wonderful job with children and their education. My kiddos attended the one called Primrose School of Forest Creek and they loved every minute of it. They are so down to earth and the family that owns the facility treats every child with so much love and dedication. She really cares about what she is doing, and treats all the children like children and not just some number!

Here is the web-site you can go and check it out for your self. I think there are three located in Plano, two are now owned by the same family and are just awesome! Those two are Primrose School of Forest Creek and the other is Primrose School of North Plano. Good luck and have fun looking!
