Seeking Potty Training Sticker Chart

We don't stick to the days of the week, we just let him place the stickers in which ever box he chooses and when he fills up a chart we let him trade it in for a trip to the store to get a new car.

I know Mardel has a bunch of different things like this. My only comment is that 2 is a bit young for him to really understand the chart. Most boys aren't really ready to use the potty until 3 frankly. Just be sure he's showing the signs (Google this), can really talk or communicate and wants to use it. Otherwise, you're in for a world of (avoidable) frustration. Unless he's interested, he's not going to do it. It needs to be his idea and not yours imo.

The more you push it, the more he's going to push back. Boys are notoriously late learners. My son potty learned pretty early (2 1/2 and it was entirely his own doing) but I noticed that his friends were all about 3 when they decided they wanted to use the potty. When they did, it literally took a few days, no charts or other incentives were needed, and they had little to no accidents. Like my son, they just decided they wanted to use it. He only has one friend who is still in diapers at 3. He's just not ready yet physically. It is no reflection on parenting or the child's intelligence. Some kids walk early and some do it later. Same with the potty.

We put froot loops in the potty and had him aim at the colors. It made it fun, like a game and he look forward to being able to try.

I know that Once Upon a Child has sticker charts if you want to purchase one. I actually bought a book from Barnes and Noble and inside was a sticker chart. They have a lot of books to choose from.

As far as advice, be patient. Boys take a little longer to train. My 3 year old is still having accidents, but it's getting better. He will pee in the potty, but is having a rough time with pooping there. When we took the plunge to train right before his 3rd birthday, I just put him in underwear and told him "no more diapers". He quickly learned after a couple days of being wet that he didn't like that very well. He would RUN to the potty and we still cheer and say "bye bye pee pee" whenever he goes. Positive reinforcement is great, try not to get discouraged or yell.

I made my own. :)

I took a piece of patterned pink 12x12 scrapbook paper, wrote "Eliana's Potty Chart" across the top, and then used a ruler and permanent black marker to draw lines across and then down to make a grid. My MIL had given DD a bunch of horse stickers for her birthday. DD LOVES horses. So every time she went pee or poop in the potty, then she got to pick out a sticker and put it in a square. The chart is taped to the wall at her eye level in our bathroom, and she loved dragging my husband or my mom into the bathroom to show off the chart! When the first one filled up, I picked a different color patterned paper and made another chart and put it up next to the first one. It's been very effective for us!

I got our potty training sticker chart at Kid to Kid in Flower Mound/Highland Village. (FYI...it was new.)

Hi A.!! Well....I am potty training my 2 1/2 year old boy now and it is a VERY LONG task...we just let him move at his own pace when we chooses to work on it! My daughter was so quick comparatively!! :) But, as far as a sticker chart, I did not buy a premade chart. I printed off my computer a picture from clip art of one of their favorite things.....for my daughter is was a clown, for my son, a construction truck and worker, and I type in, "Hooray, [name] used the potty!! What a big boy!!" Then we go but stickers together. When they go, we say that mommy is so proud, and the construction worker wants you to put a sticker on his poster. Pretty simple, but if they help you choose the picture and stickers, it seems to work like a charm!! Good Luck, and remember to give lots of praise, not to force it....when they are ready...they will get it!
