There have got to be groups of women with kids my age in my area! I just cannot find them!
SO there's my request: Playgroups with 7.5 month olds or thereabouts? I am more than willing to host or organize them, I am just tired of driving all the way up to Bergen County (where i gave birth) to connect with other moms!
I belong to a group called Mothers and More which has playgroups. The national website is www.mothersandmore.org and the local chapter website is www.geocities.com/mmchapter29. There's also a group called Friends of West Essex, which has playgroups. Their website is www.fowenj.com. Good luck finding a group.
I'm glad you rbing this up because I have the same problem. I also live in Essex County. So I don't have a solution for the problem, but if you do let me know too. I have an 11 month old boy. Good Luck!

I found it difficult when we moved out here a few months ago. My kids are in a different stage than yours (I have 3 girls ages 2 to 5), but I've found that if you go to the right places, you can find other moms, and they are all eager for contact with other moms. My best success for finding other moms has been at church, at parks, at the library, and at the YMCA kid classes. You might try enrolling in a mom-and-me type class and see who you can meet. The Montclair YMCA family center is one of my FAVORITE places--very family-friendly, lots of SAHMs. Good luck!

there are tons of groups they tell me in all different areas. You just have to pick the one thats right for you.
