Seeking Pediatrician in Rockford

Whoever you choose, just make sure they are affiliated with either SwedishAmerican or Rockford Memorial Hospital. St. Anthony's Medical Center is great for adult care, but they have a terrible pediatrics care floor if your child ever needs in patient care. The second choice is Swedish American--they at least have a Pediatrics floor, though they do NOT have Pediatric Intensive Care. For that, only Rockford Memorial has a PICU. So if your child has any unusual health conditions, you would really be wise to find a pediatrician affiliated with Rockford Health System, though I personally don't have any preference for them, and in fact drive my kids to doctors in Madison, WI. I just wanted you to know what the hospital care is like in Rockford, as some people don't think about that when choosing a doctor, and if you need it later, it can be a BIG hassle. Best of luck, K.
P.S. My sister uses a pediatrician in the group at Rockford Clinic and seems happy with him.

I go to UIC L.P. Johnson center. It's located on E.state St right on Swedish American Hospital's campus. They are very friendly and you don't take a long time in the waiting room. I was wondering what day care center do u work at? My mom is a cook's helper at Rockford Day Nursery Early learning center. That's why I was wondering.

Hi, Both of my children see Dr. Mark Hornbach. His office is located on Rockton Rd in a building near the Rockford Memorial Hospital. I have always found him to be a caring and thorough doctor. There are also several other Pediatricans in the office to choose from. I'm very happy having him as our Pediatrician!!
