Seeking Neighborhood Recommendations

I moved to the Twelve Oaks housing development near Chandler Boulevard & Rural last November and couldn't be happier! The neighbors are great! There's a huge range of children in age (mine are almost 3 and almost 1). The schools are rated very well (Kyrene District), and I was VERY discriminating about schools when looking for a new home. I know there are some homes available (including one two doors down from me on a cul-de-sac). There are at least 1 or 2 neighbors that watch kids during the day and there are a number of day care facilities within walking distance. There are a number of highly sought after preschools nearby. It's just a WONDERFUL place to live! I feel truly blessed to have found such a gem of a neighborhood! We live in south Gilbert and love it. We live in the area of Higley and Williamsfield and love our neighborhood. We have two parks in our neighborhood. Close to the freeway and san tan mall. Day car facility on higley and ray (1 mile north. Apartments, houses for rent/sale in the area depending on which you are looking for. Also close to good doctors, hospitals and fire station!

Gilbert is one of the safest cities in the United States, it makes the "lists" every year. I live in Gilbert and love it!

Hi Stace, Not sure if you are looking to buy or rent? My realtor just told me of a home he's showing in Mesa for $55K!! If there is any way you qualify for a loan, I would suggest trying to buy something...there are many deals to be had and they are not all out in the boonies like people think! I live in North Gilbert and love it as well. Gilbert is just a great place to raise kids. There is very little crime and the whole town seems to be family/child friendly. Don't know about the inhome daycares as my little one is now in a regular daycare center.
