How are you doing today? I can relate with your childcare experiences so well ~ it's like I wrote it. When our 2nd daughter was little we had some very interesting experiences that I choose never to repeat again. First we tried an in-home provider (several bad experiences), followed by a daycare facility (good in the begining then followed by preventable accidents ~ not good) back to in-home provider. She cared for my daughter for over 2 years until I gave birth to my son. Then I decided to stay home with my children ~ I am 32 yrs old mom. Other than my family, I do care for a little 14 month old girl.
Where are you looking for childcare? What days per week or how many hours per day are you needing care?
In regards to your little one speaking, each child learns differently. My nephew was REAL late speaker, in his family everyone gave him whatever he needed before he asked and his sisters would finish his sentences for him. A friend of our family has a little boy that is over 2 and he only speaks a couple words. My mother-in-law says my husband was a late speaker and an early walker. As she puts it, he had places to go but nothing to say. It will happen.
