Seeking Afternoon Playgroup

Hi B., I am a single mom that has 2 wonderful boys (15 yrs Kristopher and 14 months Karson) my name is Michele (35 yrs)
my youngest doesn't have any friends that he plays w/on a regular basis. Unfortunately we live in Carrollton but would still love to meet. My son doesn't know any children his age and I would love for him to start getting involved with other children.

I live in East Dallas, close to the White Rock/Lakewood/Garland area, so howdy neighbor! Which La Leche League meetings are you attending?

Some friends and I have a Tuesday morning playgroup during the summer, but that will most likely change to a weekday afternoon (what day is yet to be decided) this fall as the 4-6 year olds in the group head back to school.

You are more than welcome to join the group, or hang out with me (I've got 3 kids--2 two-year olds and a 4 year old) if you'd like.

Hi there! We live in Junius Heights(neighborhood behind Lakewood Theater). I work, but often get together w/ some Mom's from Dallas Area Moms on Thursday. I would be happy to invite you along. I have 4 boys. Two teens and James is 2.5 and Gavin just turned 1.

There are other branches in other Dallas areas, just in case you are out of the area of this one.
I am very happy that I found them. They have something going on every day during the week.

I also took an initiative and started a group in our neighborhood and we are having meetings at our community club house. Sometimes do it your self is the best way.

I also started on line group for vegetarians but not exclusively at yahoo. There are many moms who likes to share info on raising healthy (not necessarily veggie) kids

I would suggest searching for an early childhood pta in your area. I'm not sure exactly where you live, but there is one in Lakewood, one in Lake Highlands and I think Garland has one, too. They all have playgroups. I'm in the Lake Highlands one. They take the summer off, but they'll have their membership drive sometime in August and will get going after that. The website is www.lhecpta.org. You don't have to actually live in Lake Highlands to participate, either. You should check it out. You might check with your neighborhood association as well. We live in Lochwood Meadows and just realized there is a well established parents group that exists. Good luck!

There is an early childhood pta at Lakewood elementary school. Call them. Also "Moms of Dallas", Also a mothers day out would be great for Cohen. Great Name!

Hi B., I live in old east dallas as well. I have a 3yr old boy and a 6 moonth old girl. If you ever want to get together just let me know. I am a stay at home mom so I am always looking to get out. You can find lots of kids at Lindsley Park and you should check out the water park on white rock trail it is free and lots of kids, too..from down here travel north on skillman make a right on church street and a right on white rock trail. you cant miss it.
