I am looking for a place to have a birthday party for my soon to be 3 year old little girl. I was wondering if anyone had attended a party or hosted one, at the Lemos Farm, in Half Moon Bay. I had a chance to go there, but unfortunately they were closed. I did get to go inside and take a peek. It smelled really bad and it seemed really dirty.. I don't know if it is because they were closed, that they didn't clean up? It did seem like alot of fun when I looked at their website. If anyone could tell me what their experience was like, while at the farm, I would love to hear.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thank you very much to Karen.A, and Carol.J for responding. I really appreciated your opinion. I guess I will give it a try and go there when they're actually open :))
Still debating between Lemos and Safari run. I heard that was a good one too.Not sure if a 3 year old would enjoy it as much as the older child, but than again, you wouldn't know if you don't try :)

I took my son there for a 4 yr old birthday party. They all had fun. Some of it may seem a little depressing to the adults (ponies tied up to a pole all day, broken toys to play with, and dirty train ride displays) but I don't think the children minded at all. I will say that the train ride was a little morbid and it may scare some children. If you happen to have a nice day, the picnic areas are great.

Good luck!

Hi N.,

We hosted our daughter's "Pony Party" birthday at Lemos Farm (about 5-6 years ago - she's now 12) and we had a great experience. We had been there many times before for preschool field trips and also attended my best friend's son's "Train" party there a few years ago also. For the party we hosted, we were able to bring our own cake and they stored it in the fridge for us and we had bought their pizza which was really yummy!

I just threw a terrific birthday party for my 3 year old at the Oakland Zoo. I absolutely recommend it! I know I will definitely throw a party there again for one of my two boys in the future. Such a great time was had by all ages newborn to grandpa! Plus, it is very reasonably priced, so much to do, plus ride for children under 54" tall.

I've been to a party there, as well as the Pumpkin Festivals in October. It's not dirty, it's outdoors, the smell you got a whiff of would have been the live animals that they keep there for the people to ride, pet and feed like the goats, the small horses/ponies, etc. It was actually a lot of fun! :)
