I'm wondering if any of you mom's out there have a pediatrician that you could refer who is holistically minded, advocates the Alternate Vaccine Schedule, and can give single doses of shots in the Abington/Southampton/Montgomery County area. Thanks so much!

Hi J.. My husband and I switched pediatricians three times before finding a doctor who we actually liked and is willing to follow our alternate vaccine schedule. I too have been looking for an alternate and so far the best I have come up with is talking to my ped. My husband actually talked to them at our first visit. They said the would be willing to accommadate our requests (although I could tell that they were annoyed with us) but they said they would space them out and my husbands other request was not to have the MMR med all in the same shot. I'm not sure if this is close enough for you, but we go to a family practice in Phoenixville called Steiner Medical Center that will give single doses of vaccines. I started going there about five years ago at the recommendation of a friend. The doctor was the one who actually told me it would be better to split the shots up to ensure less of a negative effect.
